Pft - Miami Close To A Deal For Josh Rosen (merged)

I totally disagree with that. Separate from the you aren’t running the same offense with rosen as Murray part of things.

They need to get rosen out of there. These are 22 year old kids who both think they are starters and stars even. Never in a million years will this work in the lockerroom.

Lol, it would be fun to see how it plays out in that locker room.

That happens all the time in the draft, even if a pick isn't traded. The selections made with a pick are as big a gamble. If your going to have to gamble, why not gamble on a better known commodity instead of getting a surprise when the new draftee decides we aren't using him properly or feels he can develop his own workout schedule or gets arrested for running up a bar tab and not paying it.

And you think Rosen is known commodity?

That might be the lamest thing I have read in a long time. Who gives a rat's *** about who follows who on Instagram? Is this high school?

I like how the only thing you post is criticizing other posters. You're so smart and witty.

Kids now days show their mental issues with these platforms. Notice I said he did the most "millennial" thing he could do?

HS? Ask him why he did it. He made his "feelings" known without saying a word once Murray was selected.

My whole point was he most likely would sit out and Arizona could say OK, enjoy your signing bonus. They could wait until whenever to trade him. They already paid him a large amount of money.

So is this like a AJ Feeley 2nd rounder or a Daunte Culpepper type 2nd? Or more like a John Beck 2nd?
I’m just wondering where my disappointment level should be while I halfheartedly watch porn until the second round is done.

Why don't people understand this. Arizona doesn't have to trade him. They've already paid a huge chunk of his salary. Sure, Rosen could not report and sit out, but Zona could just say pound sand. If this were 3-4 years into his rookie deal maybe you get a top 10 QB for a 4th or 5th or whatever pick. But a top 10 QB, who is only getting traded because their new coach has been linked to KM for years, no chance. Arizona has more leverage than people are saying. They don't have to do ****...plain and simple.
He's NOT a "top 10" QB. His draft position a year ago doesn't mean !@#4 except to the dumbasses who drafted him.

Stop with that crap. So you think trading a 2nd round pick for a backup QB long term is a good idea? Catch a clue.
I think they should let ARI handle there mess. rosen is not going show up for camp. his pride is hurt. maybe 3 or 4. draft locke in 2nd rd

Sit out what? Otas and minicamp? Anything mandatory he’d be fined for.

Why even leave that open to possibility? Take what you can get and move on

Agreed. Looking at the QBs left in the draft, Rosen is the best option and he is still young with a good contract. There is zero guarantee for a QB next draft. What if Tua and Fromm get injured this season.

I'm simply pointing out the insanity of posters and understanding how these things work. Everyone speaks in definites. I am not a professional scout, nor do I state things as fact. Many on here do, and it gets so watered down. I have no clue if Rosen will be successful. One thing I know, is I root for the team, not the player. So I only hope Rosen, should he end up in Miami, is successful before I completely trash the guy. Especially over a mid 2nd round pick or whatever it ends up.

Captain Obvious Award Winner.

If this message board had any real say on personnel issues, I dare say this team couldn't be any worse.

You say “captain obvious”, yet here we all are debating if a franchise (maybe in Miami’s eyes) QB is worth a second rounder

And did you ever think that Rosen might just flat out be a terrible NFL QB? There is no stock in that. And by the logic your using, why would Arizona trade Rosen? Wouldn't they want to load up on their stock by having both Murray and Rosen there?
Because they are stupid as they hired a fired college coach with a losing record who was lucky to be demoted to USC OC before they came along.. and have drafted an ideal QB to put into his system which so far has failed with other ideal QBs including Mahomes?

But even if Rosen fails, there's low risk high reward and relatively little investment to move on. And there's no guarantee that once the tapes are in, Josh Allen or Sam Darnold will succeed either. Jackson? I wouldn't take him on a bet.

If Flores and O’Shea are good with Rosen for a 2nd then it’s fine with me. I’m sure that they have watch film and probably even spoke with Rosen. I would think that they have a good idea of what a good QB looks like since they were around one of the greatest for a long time.

That's clearly the hope with Flores and O'Shea. But the tape doesn't look good at all. Even when you factor in a bad Arizona team. Heck his UCLA tape doesn't scream trade a 2nd round for me.

IF there wasn't goign to be so much talent still available at Miami's 2nd in this draft then i could kinda understand it. But you're more likely to get an impact player with the 2nd round pick.

The other part that baffles me is when is Rosen going to play with Fitz here? WIthout question Fitz is the opening day starter and if he doesn't get hurt I assume he would be the starter for the season.

So how are you going to truly evaluate Rosen and know what you need to do QB-wise in next year draft?
