Pft - Miami Close To A Deal For Josh Rosen (merged)

rosen was awful last year, he is not going to be given anything

I agree, I just don't feel the need to pretend my opinion matters more than anyone elses.
Oh I agree with that, but by the reaction of many in this thread many feel their opinion does matter more. That's what I'm calling out. I have zero clue if Rosen will work out. I admit that. But, I hope it does if it comes to fruition.

EXACTLY! The Cards have no power in this negotiation.

They never did. I talked about that in one of the first Rosen threads months ago. Fact is, they need to get him out of the building much worse than anybody else needs to bring him into theirs.

If they believed he was the guy, it wouldn't matter what the trade offer was - they wouldn't take it. Since they don't believe he's the guy, you name the price if you want him. Not them. Otherwise, you proceed right on ahead.

my whole point is this.....offer them a 4th and maybe settle for a 3rd at the most......if Arizona says no then no problem....use our picks and draft a QB from Tua, Fromm and Hubert.......why should we be so worry about losing out on Rosen?

How do you know that wasn't done already...in fact, I think we can be pretty sure it was and Arizona balked. I think the key is now, if Flores, Grier, etc are set on getting Rosen, to get something else thrown in if they have to give up a 2nd.

This and only this.

I know you and I both were high on rosen last year. If you are miami you making this trade?

He’s got good feet.

It's a FAN message board.

Why are you here? What do you want to debate? What is worthy of debate on a Miami Dolphins message board, in your enlightened opinion?

You can debate whatever you want. The point I originally made, before the 4th grade Captain Obvious comment, is that I don’t believe that a 2nd rounder is too high for a potential franchise QB.

You responded with an implication that my comment was obvious, so I guess I’m unclear as to what you are trying to debate here

Agree, although I think you overstate it a little. If the price is driven low enough, other teams will jump into the bidding just because the opportunity cost is so negligible.

If rumors are true that he's unfollowed the team from his social media accounts and the semi-deceptive double speak and practice he was shown by the team up until they drafted Murray is true? Then they can't bring him back into the building. That's not the kind of environment you want brewing with Murray coming on board.

Not to mention this is the type of stuff the media loves and would run this story the entire offseason, into the Training camps and beyond.

Not for my 2nd round pick. I can get him for less than that. If I can't, then it's the Cardinals problem not mine.

I'm not rewarding them a 2nd round pick for being imbeciles.

Imbeciles for trading him or for the way that they’ve handled it?

What would you offer best and final?
