Pft - Miami Close To A Deal For Josh Rosen (merged)

I thought that Rosen's decision to unfollow the Cards was a canny move.
He's sending a subtle sign that he wants to be traded... without actually speaking to the press, and speaking out of turn.

I'm not even down on wasting a 3rd for a turd
but a 2nd is total insanity calamity!

I say let him rot on the vine!

And don't pay a premium for another peeps trash!

2) He wasn’t a rookie...but in his first full season of starting, the Patriots won the Super Bowl.

Trent Dilfer did that as well, he carried his team about as much as Brady did that first time.

This feels more reasonable to me. They still get a second day pick and we get a young QB who might turn it around with (hopefully) better coaching.

I would feel much more comfortable with a 3rd.

I still prefer to build the lines and get a QB next year but " a bird in the hand" I guess.........

Or maybe they told him he’s being dealt this weekend and his key pad entry to the training facility no longer works.

The thing about trades is that both teams have to agree. We don’t get to simply decide what’s given for Rosen. AZ has to agree and they’d laugh off that trade suggestion before you finished your offer.

If we're the only team showing interest, AZ is not laughing at an offer that solves two problems: having two first round QBs, and having your new shiny quarterback developing confidence problems because the team that drafted him shows it overvalues players.

Dude, if I were Miami, I'd tell AZ to take my shart offer or leave it. They are the team that loses by doing nothing, not Miami.

Man if we get him for a 4th I mean that’s in line blocking tight end draft return.

Sign me up

3rd is about right. Josh Rosen value goes down and Arizona drafted Murray cause they obviously have doubts. But IMO. No rookie wouldve done good behind center in Arizona last year. Just say if Baker went there. We be calling Baker a bust. Go get em for a 3rd. Get it done

The bottom line is Grier must like Rosen a lot more than Haskins because he had a chance to draft Haskins without giving up any draft picks and didn't take him.
That's not how this works.

To get Haskins would have cost us the 13th overall pick in the draft.

If we get Rosen for a later pick, we still have Christian Wilkins.
