Pft - Miami Close To A Deal For Josh Rosen (merged)

Uh-oh, Tannenbaum just said on NFL Radio that he would like the Rosen deal. Should we back out now???

Oh, for heaven's sake. He's an adult and a millionaire who doesn't read this board. What are you? His dad?

He's handled himself and his situation poorly for years. Unfollowing the Cardinals after they drafted another guy at his position is relevant because it correlates to how he's always conducted himself.

Here's another one. You guys come out in droves, it's like the race to who can be the biggest idiot on a useless fourm.

It's a tight race going into the final lap, whose gonna pull it off!

I wonder if this is what reports are learning from miami , which this would be a miami thing to do. Or if this is Cardinal's personnel exaggerating things to reports about the situation and trying to up or make it seem like miami wants Rosen more than what's actually talked about. If Cardinals office tell or reporter hear that Dolphins are in talks to give a 2nd when that might not be so, but word goes out. Then The cardinals created a smokescreen of making it seem like Rosen is desired to be picked up more than he is and trying to leverage. Therefore, their way of trying put it on Denver or other possible nfl teams to give atleast a 2nd for Rosen, because "look dolphins are willing to do that". I hope that's the case and dolphins not going to actually do this.

Geez, where do we start? Him being called uncoachable at UCLA? His comments before and during last year's draft? Unfollowing the Cardinals after they drafted Murray?

There's more we could get into.
You perfectly articulated why I wouldn’t want him here.

Who cares if he unfollows the team on social media? Is that even true? Why is that news? Who cares.

And a lot of a professional athletes are pompous assholes. If social media existed in the 90’s, the narrative on Michael Jordan would be different. Who cares. Only question that matters: Does Rosen he have tools to work with and is it a worthwhile risk to take? That’s all I care about. And I’m saying yes to the 22 year old.

And yet ... you are the one on this forum defending a millionaire who has used a much larger platform to promote himself and defend himself on numerous occasions while earning a perception as a spoiled brat.

It's fans like you that demanded splash moves and owners like Ross and front office people like Tannenbaum who gave in to that kind of thinking that got the Dolphins where they are now. So spare me your self-righteousness, Mr. Rosen.

I love the silver spoon or spoiled brat narrative when we know nothing factual about him. It is like labeling a player a thug because of his appearance. So stupid.

And I will be disappointed if we don't get Rosen now, we need as many QB chances as we can get and Rosen definitely has franchise QB potential, more potential than most 2nd or 3rd round QBs.

That being said, I could see this thing falling through and Rosen goes to Patriots.

Because he's not Michael Jordan. Because Josh Rosen has a history of acting like an entitled child or at least someone with no social recognition and it's just another case of it.

And, most of all, it's because acquiring Josh Rosen for a second round draft pick when we are competing against no one to land him and because he would in all likelihood make no significant impact on this year's team is an overpay. Heck, it's an overpay looking ahead. If you are all caught up in doing what you can on our next QB's rookie contract, well, he's already going to be two years in and we'll have further depleted our ability to put guys around him who can keep his jersey clean and make plays for him. By the time the Dolphins get close to competitive, assuming he even lives up to his hype, we'll be paying too much for him to put the good players around him to take the next step.

That's why I care. Because it's a stupid move in more ways than one.

Some people read and watch and listen. So they actually do know things.
