This pick reminds me very much of when the Dolphins considered the character and intelligence of a player and how they fit into what we are doing as a team.

I must admit to reservation on Grier/Flores, but I'm starting to see a trend on the drafting metrics they are using and I find myself slightly more optimistic for the medium term.

It may be possible we have broken the band-aid/big splash approach we have had for so many years, decades it seems.

Just perhaps we finally understand that the Tim Bowens/Doug Betters type players are how you build winning teams vs the Mark Gastineus/Aldon Smiths.

We shall see.....

I really hope Big Tim saved enough money so he can hire somebody to cut his grass for him. He loses any more digits and he might just topple over.

Bowens was a stud. Lost in the famous fake spike game, was him bowling the Jets center over on 3 straight snaps and causing fumbles because he drove the C into Boomer so fast. Of course we didn’t recover any of the 3 fumbles but it was still one of the sickest things you’ll ever see from a DT.

Minkah and Wilkins are great foundational pieces for a smart, versatile defense for years to come.

We are drafting winners not just talent. Fitz and Wilkins bring Championship pedigree to the lockerroom. If we can get anything out of Harris the D will be young and solid for years.

I vividly remember Bowens doing that on numerous different occasions over his career. When he wanted to dominate, he could dominate.
