*** Official Nfl Draft Discussion Thread *** Rounds 2 & 3

I don’t get the hate for the Rosen trade. Low risk high reward and didn’t give up much for him. If he lights it up great, they don’t need to look for a qb. If not there’s always next year or the year after where there’s better qbs. They needed more in the qb room besides Fitz, Falk, and Rudock. He’s the better option this year in a down year of rookie qbs.

At least they didn’t waste a 1st rd pick on a qb this draft, that would’ve sucked donkey balls. They basically got a former top 10 pick for chump change.

I've always respect your thoughts on the board. But i not in agreement with you on this one. Rosen doesn't change anything as far as the Dolphins future plans of get that exact fit QB you outlined above. The only think Rosen does is give the Dolphins 2 shots at a franchise Qb. Obviously this year and possibly next year if they suck.

As for the locker room stuff? Who the hell knows! The guy seems passionate, opinionated and vocal to me. Sure, that stuff could backfire. But it could also be exactly what this team needs going forward.

Only time will tell!

I completely agree with you. People can knock Rosen for a lot of things, but I'd rather my QB be vocal and passionate - as opposed to being a robotic stiff with little to no personality or moxie.

Feck, Edoga to the Jets, they've got a great prospect there. Having a nice draft, bastards.

Agree, if we'd have used that pick on a scrub like Will Grier or Ryan Finley some of those same people would be applauding it. Sure we gave up a fifth next year, but Rosen's upside is far greater than anyone we could have taken at the same point this year. Fitzmagic will not play all 16 games this year no matter who the back up is, so this is a good chance to take advantage of Arizona's incompetence and see if we can get a QB on the cheap and use our draft capital in another area next year.

It may mean we forget about Tua/Herbert/Fromm, roll with Fitz and Rosen for two years and trade our draft leverage back another year to target Lawrence if this doesn't work out.

Yep, and the Bills. We're a year behind them and playing catch up so it's to be expected but it's going to be a tough year getting a beating from those guys.

you can either say we got Rosen and a 6th round pick for a 4th and 5th round pick, we also swapped this years 2nd Round pick for the Saints 2020 2nd Round pick

or you can say we got:
Josh Rosen a 2018 1st Round pick
2019 6th Round pick
2020 2nd Round pick

for
2019 2nd Round pick
2019 4th Round pick
2020 5th Round pick
