4th 5th 6th-- Who Does Everyone Want Tomorrow

It sad isn't it? I thought after Ireland and T-Dumb things would be different. Nothing ever changes with this organization.:bang::bang:

I feel like you get mad at the silliest things. Here are Miami's picks next year, since you seem so attached to draft picks:

1,2,2,3,3,4,4,5,6,6,7,7

Honestly . I don't mind the effort of uncovering a QB. I'm by no means an expert. But from what I understand Rosen is very talented. I'd prefer a proactive approach to finding the franchise QB. What I don't understand however. What's up with Fitz? I think Rosen should be starting if we really want to see what he's worth.

Well... I suspect that we can find a semi-servicable RT in free agency somewhere... so, I think we've got to be looking for DEs and CBs in founds 5-7.

Small school guys, players coming off injuries, maybe a guy with a DUI who has made amends...

A Traditional FB or a long-snapper perhaps.

Didn't list all of them, so here are the rest:

If that's what everyone is selling and buying on this site then it definitely makes this draft and year just a wasted season. Oops we know that already. Just gave up 3 picks for a underachiever QB this year plus a low second rounder next year. Yep makes a ton of sense (sarcastic) when we will be pulling the trigger on a QB with the first overall pick much like Arizona did this year. Think Rosen might fetch a 4 the next year. Think not when RT fetched a 5th this year.

Please Michael Jordan!

Good name. I was going to add that name, surprised it had not been mentioned earlier. I'm a big believer in sticking to major college programs that stockpile talent annually. There simply isn't room for all of them to boom into high profile early picks. Michael Jordan is the type who can blend at Ohio State but stick him on a lower level team and he'd be the whispered star who probably would have been selected already.

Ohio State wasn't supposed to push Washington around like that in the Rose Bowl. After the first series they had their way in the trenches for the vast majority of the game. I became even more of a believer in Jordan based on that game. Quality well spoken kid who can mature into his frame like so many offensive linemen do.

Otherwise, at first glance there are still a ton of quality defensive linemen available, particularly defensive tackle. J-off-her-doll listed many of them. Daylon Mack is another one of those former 5 star recruits who appeared headed for the first round at one point. Then he disappointed as a sophomore and junior and kind of got left behind. But this year he woke up again and especially during the all star practices. What a load to move. His lower body is built like a fort. Mack would be a great addition for short yardage, and good compliment to Wilkins in general. Wren of Arizona State is another good late round value.

At receiver I have no idea how Hakeem Butler or Stanley Morgan can still be out there. But I'm disappointed that both Diontae Johnson and Jace Sternberger were snapped up already. They were two of my absolute favorites at their positions and I hoped Miami could nab at least one of them.

Benny Snell has gone from overrated to underrated. He has no speed but meanwhile once you get him in camp you'll hardly notice. Snell is a high energy high character kid who will impose himself and get the same type of tough yards that Gore managed last year. We need a dependable short yardage type like that. At the end of that bowl game against Penn State last season the Wildcats cemented the game by merely handing it to Snell 3 times in full confidence he'd bulldoze for the critical first down.

I don't think I'm being a homer in saying the Canes players offer good value. Joe Jackson was on some preseason first round mocks. Likewise Michael Jackson. Both Jackson and Sheldrick Redwine have the 32+ arms that many teams covet. I wasn't a huge fan of Gerald Willis and laughed at Canes forums insisting he was a first rounder. But now Willis has dropped to acceptable level. Then the most underrated of all is probably Jaquan Johnson. He simply makes plays, no matter his test times. We need another smart instinctive guy like that, to go along with Jalen Davis.

Offensive line help! Big dudes that can block.

We didn't give up a 2nd rounder next year for Rosen. We got a 2nd rounder next year from the Saints for trading down. We used this year's 2nd round pick and gave up next year's 5th round pick. Only 2 picks for him, not 3.

Morgan Jr feels like a perfect fit for a NE-style offense, and he excels in the same areas where Rosen does fwiw - 10-20 yards downfield. Butler definitely has the higher ceiling, but his best role feels like one somewhere in between Parker and Gesicki. Morgan Jr is more like a bigger Robert Woods (may have been Matt Harmon who first presented that comp).

1. Gave up 2 picks, not 3. Also gained the second rounder back a year later.
2. RT "fetched" a 7th this year & 4th next year, not a 5th this year.
3. Site desperately needs a "dislike" button.
