I dont trust Dieter...

Wilkins was a home run....

If Rosen stayed another year his numbers would have been similar to Haskins...and this is with a solid college resume behind him.

Moving back and getting extra ammo for the future shows a Belichick type savvy.

I am at a solid B right now, loved the Wilkins pick but have a hard time accepting that passing on Haskins was the right thing to do.

Comparing the bodies of work of Rosen and Haskins, I can't definitively say that Haskins is the better QB...no matter how bad Rosen's rookie year looked.

Both the picks were solid, but the cluster **** that was the trade for Rosen really brought my score down to a C-

1. Wilkins
2. Rosen + 2020 2nd rounder
3. Dieter

Three starters, one of them a potential franchise QB, one of them the new leader of our defense, and one of them our new LG... plus a 2nd rounder in 2020.

They NAILED this.

Let's clarify this we gave up a high mid 2nd rounder this year plus our 4 th and next year's high 5th for Rosen and a projected low 2nd round pick next year. Plus we are picking a QB 1st overall next year just like Arizona did this year. So how will Rosen fit in then even if he is playing well?

We had 3 draft picks and picked up 3 positions of need plus added another draft pick for 2020 by trading down in the 2nd round.
Wilkins will be a stud for years to come and based on his post draft interviews a leader. He is already more mature than most players coming out of the draft.
We got a center who is by size a force. Though I have heard different heights from 6'5" to 6'9". Played Center, Tackle and Guard. Immediate starter.

Biggest division will be, surprise-surprise, the QB. Too much is made of Rosen's season with Arizona. If you have no expectations of Rosen that is OK. In that case you can't be disappointed. But if he is a success we have he presents a good value as a late 2nd round and a 5th rounder. If he fails we pick a QB next year and if he succeeds our draft return is of tremendous value. Low risk, high reward.

Overall I think they have done an excellent work so far this year by clearing cap space next year to approx $120 Mill and adding picks for a total of 12 in 2020. They have maximized the few picks they had so far.
We picked up 3 starters

Dude, this draft is complete garbage. The Phins got three UDFA values in first three rounds.
This team is not even competitive on draft day, in spite of so many idiot GMs participating. We are in the 30s of 32 after these 2 days.

DUDE, what are you ….12?

Christian WIlkins is another Vincent Taylor. That's UDFA value.
Dieter is a tackle who played a little center and will be moving to guard. A projection. UDFA value.
Rosen, is garbage. Can't play. UDFA value.

Nothing elite in this draft, all UDFA values.
Dude you've clearly never watched these guys play in your life. You're just being negative for the sake of it.

Gave it a B+ for the maneuvering and for acquiring Rosen for a really reasonable price. The + is for Deiter, who I never got back around to properly evaluating but who has the support of some smart folks.

I don't like the Wilkins pick. I just don't see the sense in it, and I outlined the reasoning in my Sideways Board thread on the Draft Forum. Rosen would be in a much better situation with Lindstrom or Dillard than Wilkins, who obviously doesn't move the needle for the QB situation. Moreover, either in conjunction with Deiter would have moved Miami much closer to solidifying the OL for 2020, where I still expect them to draft a QB in RD1, giving them more picks to spend on a crazy-talented WR group.

Was hoping we used all/most picks on both lines so happy with 1 and 3

Got a QB who would have gone high first round if he entered the draft this year. Not going to judge him on last season playing behind that Oline. 2 mill a year so he's gonna either be the lowest paid starting QB or lowest paid back up

Everything we've done this off season has been done to put us in a great position for next year's free agency and draft so to get a 2020 2nd was great work. Plus we still got the guy we wanted.

I was expecting a pretty quiet draft for us this year so enjoyed the unexpected drama. Next year's could be too much for me :chuckle:

Respect to all involved

Fantastic job, they even made trading for Rosen worth it with the Saints 2020 2nd rounder. Everyone said we should be focusing on 2020 and we are doing just that, great work by the front office

I gave them an A, because at the end of the day we ended up with 3 players who will be starting next year. We lost a 4th and a 5th, but ended up getting a 2nd next year and a 6th this year. So, when you add it all up you can see that Grier and company did very well. I honestly think Tbumb wouldn't have been capable of accomplishing all this.

B+ so far. I like the Wilkins pick....and the Dieter pick. I'm not giving an A because of Rosen.....I have my doubts about him and his attitude .....however he a lot of physical talent and arm strength and the potential to be very, very good. I like the move to get Rosen...my only question is whether Rosen will be able to deliver. I most definitely will be looking forward to seeing how this plays out.

I very much like the accumulation of draft picks.....well done!

Obviously you have no prob nuking your previously carpet bombed cred!

3 UFDAs???

C'mon.

Your only intent is a provocateur --- or you're seriously overdue for some meds.

Stop the nonsense which seems incredibly self-indulgent at this point.

And of course...

Have a nice day!

:)

BNF

And it works. He gets responses.

And I like the 1st 3 pick. . . So far
