Rosen: Positives/negatives...

I mean he's not a statute. I've seen him move around. He feels the pocket a lot better than Tannehill. He doesn't kill drives by holding the ball too long and take unnecessary sacks. Rosen can throw a deep ball. Just don't expect a rocket. Tannehill overthrew his WRs on the deep ball originally while Rosen's deep ball can hang some times. I was just saying that it's not his greatest strength. It's not a huge weakness either. Tannehill improved his mechanics over the years, but Rosen will be more polished as he progresses. Tannehill was pretty accurate, but he can't throw his WRs open like Rosen can. Rosen can put 400+ yards on a defense and make game changing plays while Tannehill struggled with that.

Tannehill would be better right now only because he played for 7 years, but Rosen has a higher ceiling.
Ah gotcha. Thanks.

Lose the extra hitch on timing routes etc. didn’t have it in college.

That reads to me like indecision with coverage read and maybe lack of full understanding of the o which is expected. Thus holding the ball an extra half second etc. which in the nfl can be the difference between wide open and pick 6

Timing of ball out of hand must be better. As must the throws away from leverage consistency.

Trust your reads and rip it!

For a guy that’s super smart he definitely played with a lot of what I would guess to be confused hesitation as a rookie.

Although those route concepts etc separate from the o line play did him no favors.

He’s got mucb more active feet than tannehill. Well right now he does. Hopefully contact doesn’t slow down his feet

Yea it wasn’t a great situation.

Last 4 years of football . . . .dude has had 5 offensive coordiantors, two last year alone.

He is coming to a much more stable situation. The OLine isn’t completely remade yet but his blindside is more than serviceable. There is still plenty of talent at the skills.

Grier needs to find a late round / UDFA for the right side of the line and things will really be cooking.

I did not realize this. That was the sort of situation that almost killed Alex Smith’s career before his rookie contract was up. I hope being in Miami gives him some stability and we can see that amazing potential come to fruition.

Accuracy is what really stands out about Rosen, at least at UCLA. I think he could actually be a really good fit in a NE type offense where you get rid of the ball quickly in mostly a short passing offense.

Even younger Tom Brady with more active feet and legs?

Yeah I think his game is a great fit for a pre snap progression read based o. But of course you got to protect that kind of qb.
