The Cards o line in 2018 was 5 of those side by side, apparently.
Rosen was sacked 45 times in 14 games behind the #32 offensive line.

Same here. I was extremely skeptical of the Flores-Grier tandem, but they killed it in round 2. It's not that I know Rosen will be great (just as nobody knows that he won't), but that's the point. You don't know but you bought a low-price ticket for the big prize. That's really smart teams do and I love that we're that team now after the Tannenbaum clown-shoes era.Agree with every last word of this...
I've been following the conversations here and have had to laugh at the three or four who've been so visibly angry. It's almost like they think they know it all... no wait... that's exactly what they are like.
Hey be kind to Ted! He did make that awesome block on the Miracle play and thus people will know his name 50 years from now as a result. lol. They were worse than 5 Ted Larsens!
Well Tannehill threw for almost 4k yards as a rookie behind a similar line. Good thing we drafted Michael Deiter, adding one more solid piece to the OL. And Deiter, like Jesse Davis, can run block. From what I've seen and heard of that kid we added from Jacksonville, he might be able to run block a bit too. If we can make defenses respect the run instead of selling out against the pass, maybe Fitzpatrick and Rosen will stand a chance to succeed.Rosen was sacked 45 times in 14 games behind the #32 offensive line.

I'd take this over Ted Larsen.
You're right, it was his 2013 season I was thinking of, when he threw for 3,913 yards. Tannehill came out early, my bad. In 2012 he only threw for 3,294 yards, so almost 3300 yards, which is indeed a big difference. Thanks for that. The 2012 line wasn’t nearly as bad as the Cards line last year and 3200 yards isn’t close to 4000.
That being said, I don’t like the idea of giving Rosen the same excuses given for Tannehill for 7 years. He should have one year and ONLY one year to prove himself, regardless of excuses.

I’d give him 2. Lawrence in 2021.
Not willing to wait that long if I have a shot at Tua or Fromm. We'll know by the end of the year what we got. I mean, sure, there will be excuses if he sucks, but we'll know.
What do we do if Rosen or Fitz play well this year, but Trevor Lawrence has another great season at Clemson? Do we still want to go and get Tua, Fromm or Herbert? Based on his Freshman season, I wait and try and get Trevor in '21 over the guys coming out next year. I know I know, if ifs and buts were beers and nuts....
If Fitz bucks his entire career and plays well all year, I still go with a top QB next draft (also means Rosen couldn't beat him out). If Rosen plays very well, great, we have our QB. If he doesn't or pulls a mediocre Tannehill, I'm moving on immediately. Enough kicking the can down the road.
