Slimm's 2019 Offensive Line (underclassman)

Surprised that Parker Braun of Georgia Tech is not on the list at guard. Best lineman they've had since Shaq Mason and excellent at getting to the second level. Quick and nasty no nonsense type. They always run behind Braun on short yardage situations. Not ideal in pass protection technique. Stiff legged when engaged. But seldom lets his man earn any type of advantage.

Somewhat undersized but appears to have plenty of room to grow.

I doubt he'll leave early. But with Georgia Tech completely changing its offense under a new coach the current linemen are going to have a huge adjustment. No longer the cut block reliance.
 
God damn Slimm is frustrating.

I was about to shoot Jawaan Taylor > Jonah Williams out of the hot takes cannon. Come to find out that's how Slimm already has it.

Taylor has such talent. He reminds me so much of Laremy Tunsil, actually.

Think he has to with his limitations. Length is fine, but the speed and agility drills are concerning. He masked it with good technique vs most of the college competition that he faced, but I don't know that he'll be able to vs NFL players.

Really, I think his best fit may be Center. He seems to have the intelligence and work ethic for it, and that's the spot where his limitations will show the least.

Yeah that's really where we were trying to get him to play last year was center - but it was more in an attempt to get Alex Leatherwood back out to left tackle where he's more comfortable. He didn't look good at right guard last year, he's much better at LT.

Although Jonah's workout was basically identical to David Bakhtiari's. Jonah can play tackle in the NFL in the right scheme, but he may be even better kicked inside. We don't really know yet. In a way, it makes him an even safer pick.

Do you think he would decline at the NFL level? Guard seems like the most natural position and one he could develop into pro-bowl/all-pro player at.
 
Yesterday I heard Pat Kirwan discuss the O-line Draft prospects with long time former Bengals O-line coach, Paul Alexander on Sirius - NFL radio. I was surprised that Alexander really, really likes Ole Miss Tackle, Greg Little. In fact he said that he gave Little a 1st round grade and didn't understand why he wasn't getting a lot more attention (and Kirwan agreed). Alexander also said that Little's few technical problems were easily correctable.
So if we are looking for a potential high value O-lineman pick who will probably not get selected until the 3rd or 4th round, Greg Little is a player to consider.
