Intro To Myles Gaskin: 7th Rd

That dude has some quick-twitch shiftness to him. He easily has the best vision at the RB position on the team already. His top end speed sucks!
He was good in goal line and 3 rd and short even though he’s not that big.

so did barry sanders, its the sacrifice for people that can change speeds this fast

He’s quick gets up to speed fast, and has a little wiggle. But nothing close to Sanders.

That highlight reel was fun to watch. I lost count of how many defenders he just split in the open field when it looked like he was going to be caught. Seems to have good vision and some obvious burst.

Anyone complaining about us drafting a FB has not been paying attention. How many times we've been on 3rd and short and can't get the 1st down?
We rather been on 3rd and 5 tbh.......this team needed to get though and now we're going to do it. Prince and Deiter are very good run blockers and now we added a FB that will help there too. I can't wait to see this team push some defenses around for a changed.

Yeah that was probaly a bad person to use, there will never be another barry, i am a person that doesnt like any other players not wearing a fins jersey and I owned his jersey growing up.

Exactly Danny. Our philosophy has changed. We as fans have to adjust to this.

Gaskins is not fast, but he's a solid back that despite his size churns out yardage and can carry a heavy workload. In Dolphin terms he reminds me of Troy Stradford or Mark Higgs.

Heck of a player. Probably the best use of a draft pick Miami made the entire draft in my opinion. He’ll make the roster, produce, and play special teams.

Doesn’t blow you away with his athletic profile, which is the only way he lasted that long. I thought he’d go much, much sooner. Really good football player.

1,200 yards per year all 4 years. This guy can start if Drake asks for too much when he is an FA.

Myles Gaskin RB, Miami Dolphins
Dolphins selected Washington RB Myles Gaskin with the No. 234 overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.
Gaskin (5’9/205) was a rare four-year feature back for the Huskies, becoming the first player in Pac 12 history to rush for 1,000-plus yards in all four seasons and graduating with a career 945/5,323/57 (5.6 YPC) rushing line and 65/465/5 (7.2 YPR) receiving. Gaskin rewrote Washington’s rushing record books, then turned in substandard Combine results with a 4.58 forty, 9-foot-10 broad jump, and 7.19 three-cone time. Gaskin was a solid multi-year college starter, but his NFL prospects are underwhelming on a game-tape and athleticism basis. Given the lack of depth behind Kenyan Drake and Kalen Ballage, Gaskin is expected to start the year as the No. 3 back in Miami by default.

I think he has enough top end speed to finish off most TD runs. He ran a 4.58 in the 40 which is fast enough. He has some wiggly and is elusive but I don't see too much shiftiness. He has nice acceleration which will help him and his vision seems pretty good. I think he can be a nice piece. Good be a really good punt returner.

Reminds me of Darren Sproles a bit when he was coming out of Kansas St.
