Steve Steve Steve...

Steve Smith was a wackjob with Carolina If I recall, good WR yes, worth the trouble....I guess if you compared him to RAE CARRUTH perhaps but otherwise just another loudmouth hoping to raise his profile as a commentator.

Again how does team reporting go from Tony Segreto, Hank Goldberg, Jimmy Cefalo, Jim Mandich, even Joe rose to Omar Kelley?

I understand after watching this years draft coverage on ABC/ESPN that intelligence, diligence or even basic competence is in painfully short supply but how can a newspaper (I get that their revenue stream is seriously compromised like all old print local newspapers) but would not an intern do just as well than these clowns? I imagine they would cost the same....

Funny seeing the echo chamber go into trash everyone mode for their new favorite son.

Steve Smith said nothing wrong. Josh Rosen did play a part in today's reality.

Steve Smith is a battler, that's what he does. Asking him to not pick a fight is like asking Justin Bieber to not be a wussy … it's just ain't gonna happen!

They're tee'ing Steve Smith up to fight, that's what he does. This particular night, the controversy they wanted to aim him at was Josh Rosen being a millennial emo-guy, so that's what he took aim at and started battling. Don't take it too seriously … he's just trying to make a living, and that's the role they're offering him. It's all scripted entertainment anyway. It's no coincidence that for years Stephen A had the opposite opinion of Skip Bayless … that's what makes the show. Steve Smith is just doing the same thing.

Steve Smith was a very good player, but I could give 2 F's about anything he says. I think anyone who has an ounce of common since knows there would be no fair competition. I would have wanted out too!

The competent get better jobs (e.g. Darlington, Volin). We're left with those that aren't interested in better jobs (Barry) or aren't qualified (Omar).

Smith doesn't get that pass...however much it makes sense.

He should be called on his shortcomings so he can get them right over time...

I'm a Black man who should be angry (sump pump wont stop, toilet runs whenever it feels like it, Tottenham loses to West Ham on the last leg of my 8 team parlay). Not his pus-head self about a player unfollowing a team.

Not suggesting he get a pass. As it so happens, I'm a Tottenham fan, so that loss hurt me too, although not financially. Sorry to hear that. But Ajax just had their league cancel the entire league schedule for a week and re-schedule it for later so they didn't have to play a game this weekend before their Champions League semi-final matchup … nah, not fair.

Anyway, I get it, feel however you want to feel, I'm not trying to suggest you feel differently. Just calling out the media for the sham it is. That's all. They court controversy and stoke fires … people like to watch something burn, so they make sure something is constantly burning.

Are you kidding me? Blowing up with that tirade and grade school rant for a kid that unfollowed his former team on social media, for all to see on national television - pure hogwash.

It was embarrassing and accentuated by a guy crippled with Napolean Complex. Not to mention the English language was rewritten in the process.

If you're going become unhinged and preach this holier-than-thou manifesto for a kid that unfollowed his former team on Instagram, what can we expect for an encore with his take on Tyreek Hill? I have sneaking suspicion there won't be a peep from Smith on that, and the majority of us know why that won't happen.

Steve Smith was a gobshite who loved attention as a player, and that's why he got the job as an 'analyst'. Sure he's just playing a role and doing his job, but he's not doing it very well if he has to rely on such lame takes.

Omar swore up and down for weeks that Miami had ZERO interest in Rosen. Being terribly wrong, coupled with a few other factors I won't get into, makes Rosen less lovable than Tannehill. He went as far as saying Miami got FLEECED on the trade with Arizona.

You have to take anything Big O or Omar says with a grain of salt as they both clearly have agendas, but it was fun watching Kelly get crapped all over by the fanbase over his Rosen takes. He walked back his comments as much as someone that egotistical is willing to do.

Check out his expert analysis in a tweet thread where he claims this trade should be analyzed in 4 different ways lmao

Steve Smith analyst of the game and command of the English language ranks right beside Emmit Smith's analyst of the game and command of the English language.

Steve Smith is a moron. That rant was unnecessary and way off. Everyone from the Cardinals is speaking highly of Rosen and saying he was a class act in their building.
