Ex Dolphin Writer Now Patriot Writer Calls Rosen Trade A Home Run

Of course Omar hates him. He's white and more importantly is not Haskins, who Omar has a man crush on.

After watching the way Haskins reacted I'm glad Miami didn't draft his immature and fat ass..

Omar is disgraceful and biased.

"There is literally no reason for Dolphins fans to be upset with this move. It’s not low-risk, it’s no-risk. And the reward has the potential to be high"

Disagree with this and frankly don't care for some Patriots beat writer to be telling me how to form an opinion on my team's decisions.

Nothing like going from one polarizing QB situation to another. I imagine **** will get ugly here and I'm dreading it already.

Please remind me why two Ben Volin tweets about Rosen and the Phins needs it's own thread?
How is Rosen polarizing? How do you know Tua or any other QB drafted next year will be effective? All QBs are polarizing with the exception of maybe 5. Even Aaron Rodgers has his share of detractors.

Omar tweets get there own threads surely Ben's can.

I liked Ben in Miami but he is regarded as a tool up here. Trollin Volin is his nickname is Patsy land. He has one dumb take where he was saying it would have been better for Brady to lose in the playoffs than lose another Super Bowl. I don't know, getting there umpteen times is pretty freaking impressive.

I think Ben must be a dolphins fan at heart though. He manufactures hot negative takes on the Pats all the time and causes a stir.

:eyepop: you must not be on Twitter....

Omar is an enemy of the Miami Dolphins. Everything he writes or says is intended to harm the team. Josh Rosen is a highly intelligent (white) QB with natural talent - what a surprise that Omar disapproves of the trade and will now set about his latest mission to smash and destroy Rosen's career in Miami. Omar's job is not just to report on the team. It is to throw hand-grenades and denigrate every player when an opportunity emerges. GM, Chris Grier's decision to trade for Josh has been acknowledged practically everywhere as an astute, low risk, low cost decision. However, by definition, Omar has to be the contrarian.

The only people that seem to be upset with this draft are those that had themselves convinced the team was planning to tank the season. Otherwise the over all concensus is it was a very successful draft.

That's a fair observation. Hard to disagree with. I think people are/were enamored by the Tua led QB class of 2020. Now there is a bit of an "aw ****" moment, right or wrong.

It’s a literal tragedy Miami has been stuck with Omar and Salguero their entire careers. Move on elsewhere already.
They will never leave because nobody else wants them. The good guys move on for bigger and better things. The bottom barrel stays where they are and remain bottom feeders.

Funny you say that. He is quite often on WQAM during the season to give takes on the Patriots. I actually enjoy listening to him because you don't get that "ra-ra We are the Patriots" crap. He obviously is a fan of the Pats but his views, outside Spygate, are quite informative.

On subject: I agree with Volin.

There is absolutely no, zero, nada, nill downside to this trade. I am not anointing Rosen to be the next franchise QB. I rather have a 'wait and see' approach and want the Dolphins to do it right with him. But even if he fails we put very little in. But if he succeeds it was a coup.

Most of those who make a bigger (negative) deal out of it than it is have their own agenda.

You know I didn't know much about this Omar character until recently as I spend a fair bit of time outside of the country and not much time in Florida. During the draft I noticed his name quite a bit and read his bio, and the racial issue came to my mind as well when I saw that he went to Florida A&M. I dug a little deeper and even found an article where he claimed to have fired a gun at someone "with intent to cause harm".

How does this POS have a job at any publication? How does Sun sentinel fall so far?? How does he even have access to Davie (I assume TC and offices are still in Davie).

FYI Haskins bothered me as well with his green room reaction and does remind me a tad of that LSU QB with the slow delivery the Raiders took a number of years ago Jamarcus Russel (had to look his name up).

Has anyone started to ask the Sun-Sentinel to explain its hiring logic/policy on this guy. You cannot tell he is good for circulation.

That is the problem. In a world where online clicks mean advertisement dollars people like Omar can and will survive. People just read his stuff to bitch and complain about him.

They’ve put nothing around the qb so the enamored with tua thing is still on the table.

Only thing we’ve done is hedge qb bets.

Agree 100%.
Hershel Walker level coup. I wanted a blue chip QB and dammit we got one. Now let's settle in and build around him, evaluate and let the chips fall.
I have a feeling Rosen got a chip on his shoulder and will improve tremendously over what he did last year.

Let's ****in goooooo!!

The REAL QUESTION is who does Omar have photos of.To still keep his job and be allowed to talk nonsense for that many years.
