"rosen Will Have To Earn The Starting Position"

You didn't even argue my point.

I want every QB and every player of the Miami Dolphins to succeed - ESPECIALLY a top 10 draft pick.
Okay, I'll argue your point. I either want him to look special or I want Miami to draft a qb in next year's draft. I don't feel Miami is in a position to pass on a potential franchise qb next year just because Rosen is on the roster. He already looked lost his first season in the NFL and I don't want this franchise to waste time trying to develop him into something he might never be capable of achieving. I don't care that he was a top 10 pick. He wasn't a top 10 pick for Miami and top 10 picks bust all the time. He also was the 4th qb taken last year, but you conveniently failed to use that in your argument.

The same “geniuses” who though we were tanking this year think that Rosen is the guaranteed starter. Rosen last year Any/a under 3 and Fitzpatrick over 8. They aren’t even close to being the same level.
Rosen sits for a year or two.
I don't think they are sitting Rosen for that long. They really don't have that luxury no matter what they want to say. Rosen has to start in 2019 so they know what they will be doing to address the QB position in 2020. Sitting Rosen in 2019 and drafting one of the top QBs in 2020 will just cause tension in the locker room. Sorry but Rosen has a big ego and he is going to want to start. If they aren't going to start him then they shouldn't have traded for him.

This one...

Ok. Well, let him sit then and have father time further waste our time.

It would be smart- not stupid- to see the kid for as many games as possible.

If the idea is that Rosen is our QB of the future, sit him for a year for all I care.

If the idea is experiment with our eyes still on a QB next year then let the experiment commence ASAP.

It could be that Rosen actually buys them some time until 2021. Entirely possible that Tua goes back for final year and 2021 would feature both Tua and Trevor Lawrence.

Where did I say "sit him for a year"? You are now making **** up.

I don't give a flying **** when he was taken last year. That is something the Cards have to reconcile. We got him for a low 2nd and a 5th. That's all I am interested in. He is low risk for us. If he fails he is no bust. If he succeeds we landed a coup.

My point is always that if he fails we will draft a QB next year. That was not the argument.

The argument I referred to was my statement that you want Rosen to fail. You hate the Rosen pick up because if he shows any promise your entire "tank...tank...tank" wet dream pops like a bubble.
You and others have argued so much that we must draft our franchise QB with the #1 spot therefore we have to suck and throw the season away while others (including myself) have counter argued that you can get a franchise QB outside the top spot or you can trade up. Now we might have a potential franchise QB and you hate it.

All your posts this offseason including those since we traded for Rosen (across several threads) only leave one conclusion: you rather have Rosen fail to be right rather than have the interest of the Miami Dolphins at heart.

Just a reminder: this was the original post in our argument. And you did not argue this point.
I don't think you want Rosen to succeed.

That is a gamble that the coaching staff and front office probably don't want to take. I mean if they end up with a top 5 pick in 2020, I am pretty sure they are going to want to know if they should take one of the top QBs coming out. Even if Tua stays for another year you will still have Fromm, Herbert and maybe Love. Waiting until 2021, if you are already in good position in 2020, would be too much of a gamble IMO. It all depends on where they end up at the end of the 2019 season. I still think they would rather see as much of Rosen as they can in 2019.

Stop cursing at me. I’m not your mother.

Find another poster to talk down to. You won’t further waste my time.
I am not talking down to you. I negated two arguments in a row by you in one you said "I did not say that" (paraphrased) and in the other you attributed something to me I did not say. That is not talking down. That is holding you responsible for your false arguments.

The best thing about the Rosen trade to me is that it makes 2019 watchable. I was ready to write off the entire season as some short term pain to finally get the savior QB in 2020 but now I’m genuinely interested to see how Rosen fairs.

It would be awesome if he ends up being “the one” and we can use our vast resources in 2020 to completely stack the team around him.

I don't imagine at any point Rosen is gonna be handed the job, and he shouldn't be. If Fitz shows the capability of making plays like he did last year while Rosen doesn't show he can move the ball consistently, we have to start the year with Fitz. If it's close, go with Rosen. We're not going playoffs or bust this year but we still need competent QB play. That's important even when rebuilding because you can't have a question mark at every position having not been able to evaluate what players can really do. In the last two years we've scarcely gotten an idea of what to expect from our offensive players, what with the Cutler disaster in 2017 and just long stretches where the QB wasn't capable of getting a pass off (or throwing more than a handful of throws) between Osweiler's struggles and the Tannehill we got at the end of the year.

I'm hoping Rosen can show he's the guy to start. I'll be a little disappointed if he's not but I won't blame the staff if they start Fitz week one if Rosen doesn't earn it. I've no idea if he will, but I'm glad the team took a chance on him showing it.

This one...

As a second year player, I will begin to be worried if he can’t win the job in training camp and preseason. To be fair, I am a little quick to judge, given that I was done with Tannehill before year 7.

It's not too tough to figure out that you start the guy who wins the job. I don't think you coddle Rosen and bring him along slowly. If he wins the job then start him. Same goes for Cakeman. Besides, with our line, both guys will probably see plenty of action. No way one QB makes it thru 16 games unscathed. I just hope one or both don't wind up on IR.
