Tidbits From Jlc On Radio 960 Calgary

You are such a loser I never once said we were getting the
No. 1 pick - here is where reading competency would help you a great deal - we are trying to be at the top of the division in 3 years - how they do that is beyond me - I can’t read the future

Coming from the guy who would strip the team of draft picks for putting a less than product on the field - you really are a piece of work

Sorry we bypassed on your QB of choice tho

Rev you are a much better poster than that no need for personal shots man

Imagine Rosen shows enough upside build around, we're sitting at the number 2 overall pick, and can fetch trade offers for either Herbert or Fromm for a Kings Ransom. We just really set ourselves up to have options. I still don't trust Grier's talent evaluation, but I love how he set himself up to have options with the Rosen trade for sure.

I totally agree that having Rosen will not prevent us from drafting a QB high in 2020 if we need to. Some people think having Rosen means we won't draft another QB but that's not true imo. I think the fact we kept Tannehill for 7 years have everyone thinking that we're stuck with one QB for 7 more years even if we can't win with him. Flores comes from NE and he seems to know the value of drafting QB's even if you have a good one on hand.

Good news is we’ll all know if he’s the guy no matter how the team plays around him. It’ll be obvious and jump out of the screen.

This is all JLC is saying - we have all the chips to use now

I asked SlimmJr whose evaluations most of us respect how he rates Rosen's "skillset" vs the top 4 2020 QBs. His response was at least as good as any.. but what will make him successful is inside his head where he's committed to playing and loving football.

So let's see how Josh does, but to assert that any of the obvious unproven QBs are better options than Rosen could well be a false narrative.

Yes brother the dude was in a no win last year and Johnson and Fitzgerald spoke up for him so this is good if not great news

You are also dead on about Marino and how his attitude and the stuff said about him true or false caused him to drop in the draft -

And this was of course before the Internet - he would have gone even later imho had the internet been around

I prefer some attitude in my QB

Not at all... this is exactly what I was asking for.. that they continue looking for the QB every year... not put the search off for two years

How's my favorite Canuck pastor doing?

I don't think anyone has yet made the observation that Chris Grier has gotten a lot more savvy with Marvin Allen and Reggie McKenzie in his ear than with Gase and Tannenbum.

I'm not sure why some are saying Miami should trade him if he;s not starter material? The guy has a crazy cheap contract that Miami will control of a few years. If he's reasonably good then you keep him as a back-up. Let's not make the mistake that Arizona just did.

Amazing how well Grier seems to be set up for success no matter what. Even if Rosen does the Tannehill Tease and they’re not 100% sure he’s the guy, they should be able to flip him for a 2021 2nd rounder and trade whatever picks necessary to move up and get their QB.

I don’t see the comparison’s to Tannehill at all.... Tannehill was a major reach to be a top ten prospect....Rosen is a legit top 5-top ten prospect, Tannehill a 2nd round reach at best.

Rosen is far more polished...great mechanics...more experienced entering in the NFL...great passer who throws very catchable balls with great placement.
