If A Contending Team Loses Their Starting Qb?...

Charge 'em two 1sts and a 3rd for Jake Ruddock.

no sir, I am saying why keep 2 QBs when you have other needs? Where are we getting franchise players at these positions before the 2020 draft? So what good does Fitz being on the roster when we gave up a 2nd rounder for Rosen? Call it tanking? I call it long term planning
I’d imagine most teams carry two QBs in case the starter gets injured. Seems logical.

Who is trading for Fitzpatrick? Especially a 'nice' pick?

Flip Fitz and sink or swim with Rosen seems like a slam dunk for me

It's a disservice to the team to not have another competent NFL quarterback on the roster in case Rosen flops or gets hurt...you still need to develop an offense and judge the rest of the players, and you can't do that with an AAF castoff.

Definitely. We don't want this to be another 6-10, 8-8 year anyways!

For whatever it's worth, while it wasn't great, PFF ranked the TB OL at 20 for Fitz and AZ at 32 for Rosen. (Guess who was ranked #31 LOL)

but it was tannehill that couldn't block and hes gone

Its the curse of Ryan Fitzpatrick. Read this.

Now just prepare for the likely scenario that Rosen misses some games at best, hit by a rogue meteor while being swallowed into the Bermuda Triangle at worst.

Geno Smith......Punched in the face haha that got me

The list isnt too bad honestly. Its just the fact that Fitzpatrick has been a bench rider his entire 15 years in the league. Gonna have injuries in front of him.

I can see a team trading a late round pick for Tyrod Taylor or Bridgewater before thinking of trading for fitzpatrick. Theres reason no one signed him before us.

Imagine if we did that, everyone here would flip out if we gave a 6th round pick for fitzpatrick mid way through the season.

First off, no one is going to offer a pick for Ryan Fitzpatrick.

Secondly, yes, you ship him off in a god damn second for whatever someone hypothetically offers.

What use is a backup QB to a team with a "rookie" and a garbage roster in the middle of a rebuild?

Fitzpatrick is going to be starting all year so no.

No, he is not. He might start the season, and he could possibly start 8 games. The coaching staff needs at least 8 games to have a read on Rosen. I anticipate Rosen starting for 12-16 games.
