Tre Watson himself thought that he was worthy of being drafted. In the 2019 NFL Draft, 31 linebackers were selected, and Watson was shocked that his name was not called.

¨It was a surprise, but it is what it is,” said Watson about the matter. ¨It does bother me because that means clearly I didn’t show enough to warrant being one of those 254 picks.”

That was Watson’s response on how it felt to go undrafted. Even though he did go undrafted, he knows that he will not stop him from being a successful NFL player. Players such as James Harrison, Kurt Warner, and Antonio Gates are some of the most successful undrafted players. Watson hopes to join that list

Great awareness on the field. But i'm curious what he ran? He looks a little stiff and lacking footspeed.
 
im a terp alum and fan, this kid is a beast and i too can't believe he didn't get drafted. He and Darnell Savage were the two best players on defense all year, kid can hit like a freight train, is quick, smart and can cover. He took a bad rap all year in the big ten with targeting and unnecessary roughness calls, most of which were borderline. Plays with a mean streak I will be shocked if docent make the 53 and have an impact. This new staff i don't think cares about draft status or has such a narrow view that free agents on young guys can't win a job. Y'all are gonna like this kid
 
Looks like a good player. Hits very hard he takes out blockers. athletic enough to make it
 
Thumps. Be it as a tackler or take on. Question is range and athletic ability

One I’m really looking forward to seeing in the preseason.
