Msn's Way-too-early 2020 Nfl Mock Draft

I’ve got 4 wins minimum so that’s more Chase Young territory.

how can you say that pick would be a waste? Are you saying he would not be a difference maker? That would be a pretty bold prediction at this point.

I think Tua would not make difference whatsoever if our oline cant protect him. And yes it is a bold prediction because I think Tua is highly overrated unlike everyone else on this board. Which funny enough is how I am sure I am right, cause everyone on this board is always wrong with illusioned hoped instead of right with thought out logic.

Tua is the consensus in the media, so that is who everyone wants. I hope Rosen balls out just so we dont waste a #1 pick on Tua, because if we do everyone on here will just say that the oline is the reason he sucks.

I think the guy is the most overly hyped prospect coming out of college since Ryan Leaf. Bold enough? I think he will get exposed without that stud oline and defense Alabama has year in and year out.

Je got exposed by Clemsonin my opinion. The guy is a product of a successful system, not the other way around.

The most overhyped player coming out of college in recent memory is Kyler Murray. Tua is legit. Kyler never was. He was pushed up the board because there was no Tua caliber QB this year.

Sir..please stop....You don't have a clue...Tua and the offense carried last years Bama team...the team with the worst defense in 12 years at Bama.
The defense Tua's team had,is not the defense from the previous two years, that Jalen had to work with.
The talent around Tua,has no bearing on how hyper accurate he is...

Don't worry about them Namor. Tua is a freak qb prospect.

Oh,I know buddy..
My fondest dream is that we get Tua..
My worst nightmare is Bill B and the Pats figure out a way to get Tua.

It'd be nice to save these mocks and see what they look like in April of 2020. Some guys that are not on this mock will go top 15 and some guys that are top 15 in it right now will fall off the first round. The question is which players?

You're title is correct. It is way too early to look at the 2020 draft.

I like to save the "very early" mocks. Calming reference point and immensely valuable, similar to preseason ratings in college football and basketball. The flawed approach is the one almost always applied...finding a name or several who don't seem to belong a year later, and scoffing at the entirety. Meanwhile the entirety is a remarkable gauge of how excellence shows early and is obvious early. You want someone who has been there all along, not a late riser.

As I've mentioned, Dexter Lawrence was rated well above Christian Wilkins in the very early mocks. He was also well above Wilkins in the test measures like RAS. It was something like 9.87 for Lawrence and 8.55 for Wilkins on RAS. The Dolphins valued character and a safe pick. I like Wilkins quite a bit but when I'm making that pick I would always place great emphasis on where these guys were rated early in the process, and not necessarily during the late nitpicking. Ferrell was much higher in those early mocks than approaching this draft. The Raiders didn't reach nearly as much as conventional wisdom allows. Daniel Jones, now that's a reach by any measure.

Funny you should say that, I've got 30 reports, already printed out for the 2020 draft. Mock Drafts and Prospect reports up the wazoo!!!

No, what they did was take the better player that's going to produce more. Failed drug tests for PED's and character aside.

I don't know how anyone could've watched Christian Wilkins and Dexter Lawrence play football, either in 2017 or in 2018, and come away believing that Lawrence was better at it.

He measured well but he doesn't play all that well. Maybe he will going forward. This sort of projection is far from certain. But the better football player was Wilkins.
