Every Rosen Has Its Thorn ( Season Predictions)

You seem more emotionally invested in it than he does, to be honest. I mean, you honed in on the one extremely mildly negative thing he said and appear pretty offended by it.

Actually, the most negative thing he said was a 7-9 finish, which is the worst case scenario of continued perpetual mediocrity, but some have been okay with that for years now, so probably not as much of a negative to them.
did I come across as offended?

Hey, if the only draft negative is taking a FB in the 7th round, I call that a win!

If a meh reaction to a 7th round pick got you upset, I’m guessing you really wouldn’t like my review. On the bright side, I couldn’t care less about 7th round picks.

That was kinda my point (the general irrelevance of 7th round picks).

People don't want to here this, but if Rosen puts up typical Tannehill-like numbers that would be considered a win.

Yes. I don't think the QB is even upgraded this year. Potential sure, but it might not be pretty this year.

Too early to say, but I do expect the coaching to be better. I like their plan so far. We are looking at tough and physical in the trenches and likely will see a renewed running game in Miami.

I went to highlights to find seventh round pick Chandler Cox. It's easy to see why Miami drafted him. He can block really well, catch out of the backfield, and will likely be a key special team player. Myles Gaskins is also interesting. I have a feeling he could end up being a late round steal. Reminds me a little bit of Warrick Dunn, the way he can stop and start. Could be some better competition at running back than fans might expect.

Overall, I think the draft does depend pretty heavily on how Josh Rosen develops. It's a good situation for him. I agree with you about defensive end. That was my one disappointment in the draft as well. But, if Rosen is the answer that could be the plan next year.

Interesting note that New England had just 30 sacks last year and ended up winning the super bowl. I'm not saying that isn't a big weakness for Miami, but maybe Flores and his staff can scheme around this somewhat. By the way, the Oakland Raiders had 13 sacks all year. Miami had 31.

Trust me if Rosen throws for 3,500 yards 20 td's and 12 int's that would be considered a good season for a second year qb on a bad team.

I suppose top 20 QB numbers are better than top 30. He's going to have to show me a lot to forego a 2020 QB. Tannehill-like isn't going to cut it. He certainly has the potential, but I'm not settling.
