Missed Opportunity Amidst Optimism With Dolphins' Draft

Resorting to childish responses proves you have nothing to worthwhile to bring to a discussion and have already lost. Thanks for starting off your post this way so I didn’t have waste anymore time reading any further and can add to ignore. No upside to it. Much appreciated

That's a shame, because that was barely an attack on you (sensitive?), and the rest of his post eloquently explained why you're wrong. But you can go ahead and be a child yourself - just my outside perspective :)

No, it proved that he had a different opinion, nothing more. You only believe it to be factual because you agree. I didn’t read it, as the opening made it clear there was no upside to it and that the entire post should be disregarded. But regardless, there is no way to prove either side ‘factual’.

Regarding your opinion that it was ‘barely’ an attack, I guess that makes it ok then? Regardless, I ain’t gonna waste time debating with those that are so insulted by a different opinion that they resort to ad hominem attacks. You can call me sensitive if you like, don’t really care. I’m here to talk football. You want to debate my football related opinions/points, fine. But it needs to be done respectfully and w/o resorting to petty insults when you think someone is out in left field.

Last I’m gonna say about it. Let’s talk football!

I agree that every little bit helps, but in the context of the "bigger picture", the value, as far as possible upside reward to risk, far outways the cost.

Point taken.

I will always be of the belief that they would have LOVED to have taken Drew Lock in the 2nd and that when he was gone, the Rosen thing kicked into high gear. Until proven otherwise.

We were just not high enough in the draft to have a QB fall to us that we wanted. So we made adjustments and it worked out.

I am just everlastingly glad that we did not wind up with haskins.

Our biggest miss was in the 5th...

Rip Van Winkle will hopefully outplay the defensive ends we passed on and be the player Flores thinks he is.

Well I will always Be of the belief that they wanted Daniel Jones over Wilkins but with Daniel Jones gone they settled with Wilkins until proven otherwise this is how it went down it was Daniel Jones or bust

Am I one of the only ones who think the secondary isn't a big need this year? O-line, D-line and QB all took priority over CB.

O-line, D-line for sure. I think the Rosen deal was something that just dropped into their laps, that was too dood to pass up.

I agree that there was likely no scenerio where we took a corner in, at least, the first two rounds. Any corner taken later, likely would not be a huge upgrade, considering Minka can line up, and be competitive virtually anywhere in the secondary.

Not saying you’re right or wrong, just curious what makes you have this belief?

I would have been extremely disappointed had they taken Jones with their 1st. While I preferred holding out for a QB in the 2020 class, I’m much more excited about Wilkins and Rosen than Daniel Jones and whomever they would have selected in the 2nd round.

In Canada we call it sarcasm

Any QB move for us was second-round or later, unless we were totally stupid. We needed a solid starter in the interior line with the 1st-round pick and hopefully he won't be another charles harris.

What would have sent me OFF this team for good would have been taking haskins. I would have been so DONE with them...

I feel like our DBs last year were decent, but it was so obvious that they were poorly coached and just didn't know what they were doing for most of the time. Beardo Burke was completely in over his head. The depth guys were deer in the headlights lost whenever they got onto the field. Minkah, X, and Jones are the only reasons our defense wasn't Junior Varsity bad.
