Malik Rosier Coming To Rookie Camp

I don't know who I disliked as a QB more...Rosier for not having anything "Big Time" to hang his hat on, or Tannehill for having everything "Big Time" and not succeeding with it.

Come to think of it... or even close. Rosier should not have the opportunity to take a potential NFL player's spot on this team.

Just the way I feel....

Can't see him lasting long enough to jeopardize any potential player's spot.

As a major Canes fan, The only redeeming thing that I can remember Malik doing that I would even be remotely thankful for was beating FSU in 2017 (PS, Seminole Fans...The streak is now 0-2  ). Oh yeah, and that beat down of Notre Dame 41-8 when no one gave us a chance...Mostly the defense. Other than those 2 games, pretty much :poop and must be a camp arm

I'm hoping it's just a "show respect to UM" thing.

He started for the Canes, let's do him a solid and invite him to rookie camp.

Promote Dolphins goodwill amongst the Hurricane community.

Can only reflect good on us.

Agreed on the let's give some respect to the "U". They have produced some great pros. Malik battled and played to the best of his ability and played injured for most of the season. Best of luck Malik! You are a Fin for now.

I'm a Cane fan and Malik is garbage but fair question.

Well said. He was never supposed to be starting caliber. The first time Rosier got any extensive action was during mop up duty of that 58-0 home debacle against Clemson in 2015, the game that cost Al Golden his job. I sat through that game and talked to nearby Clemson fans. When they asked me about the new quarterback who entered the game I laughed and said he was the bottom of the roster.

Likewise Mark Richt basically flat out told Rosier he would never start for him. But Rosier persevered and beat out more highly touted guys like Jack Allison and N'Kosi Perry. Canes fans dislike Rosier now only because that 2017 season led to absurd expectations for 2018. The talent level is still a huge cut below, as evidenced by where the Miami players are drafted compared to powerhouses like Alabama, Clemson and Ohio State.

Rosier managed nearly 500 yards rushing in 2017. I'll always appreciate everything he did that season, which would have collapsed early if not for Rosier leading last second back-to-back comeback wins over Florida State and Georgia Tech.

I've joked about Rosier joining the Dolphins. This is the same type of bone thrown to Jacory Harris, another Canes quarterback who was not a legitimate pro prospect but the Dolphins invited him to minicamp anyway. It never went beyond that and I doubt this will.

However, if the tape guys want to occupy themselves there are nearly 2 years worth of starts to dissect every play...

Canes fans don't like Rosier because he stinks. N'Kosi Perry is also hot garbage, and unfortunately it may be another year or two before the Canes have any decent QB play.
