THANK you. There are people who are genuine journalists on this site; I can see the logic behind trying to be unbiased in those endeavors.

But every single time someone starts a "Whoa, let's settle down here! Here's some realism, homers! LET'S NOT BE TOO OPTIMISTIC" movement?

My gut reaction, every single time, is, "You're on a fan board, Nostradamus. How about you bake yourself a big ol' batch of shutthe****upcakes?"

What in god's name are you talking about? How do you take my statement, specifically about Xavien Howard, and warp it into that interpretation, about every draft pick?

we have to do something with the cap space that we have. this is as good of a place as any to put it.

So did you miss the part where the Pats paid Stephon Gilmore 5/65? A guy who last season played 16 games for only the 2nd time in his 7 year career. How do you know he has peaked? Are you just giving your opinion like the homers are when they declare there's more success to come? But your opinion is correct because.....reasons.

Not sure yet should be out today or tomorrow. Hoping they took like 8-10 million and put it in this season so it ends up being only like 13 million per season.
 
OK, so X excels under an incompetent D Coordinator, a Head Coach who has an obvious psychological disorder, a d line and linebackers who are at best, "on the field", and all some of y'all can say is wahhh he was injured. Man what a tough crowd. What makes anyone think that the training staff was any better the the D Coordinator and the Head coach? So to quote a famous guy, "There are known knowns; there are things we know we know. We also know there are known unknowns; that is to say we know there are some things we do not know. But there are also unknown unknowns — the ones we don't know we don't know".

What I don't understand is the massive negativity, X is one of the best at his profession, and certainly the best on this roster. Coach Flo is from the Belichick D tree, if he thinks X deserves top pay, that is good enough for me! No one knows anything until next season. Please don't give me the "but no Ex Belichick coach has been a success" either, Coach Flo is, IMO cut differently than the others, and Patricia has not had enough time to prove himself.

Because what you said made absolutely no sense. Theres nothing about Howard's come up that screams trying to cash in. He didn't come out of nowhere last year just to get paid. Hes made improvements since he first got on the field and has blossomed into a stud.
