Nfl: Why The Miami Dolphins Have The Worst Schedule In 2019

The traveling thing sounds like BS to me. It's a few hours on a private plane... give me a break.

Read the article. Those teams aren't leaving their own back yard. This is another example of forfeiting a few percent expectancy instead of stealing a few percent.

We would be far better off in a regionally appropriate division. I can't believe nobody in the organization was bright enough to push for that when Jacksonville and Carolina entered the league. Other teams shifted around and we stupidly sat where we were. I'm not saying we could have gotten out of the AFC East but there should have been a huge attempt.

Granted, the isolated location is a problem in its own right.

Agreed. The quality of play may even increase and fans enjoy a sense of regional rivalries, like college football.

Schedules are set far into the future, outside of predicting home and away games and which place teams end up finishing in their division, there's really no mystery to it. Field a quality football team year in and out and strength of schedule will be one less thing fans whine about.

I'm all for a tougher schedule this season; well, I was when I was on the tanking train. Now, I'd like to see Rosen win, but if he doesn't then we have high draft picks. I'll be happy either way this season, something I haven't said in a long time.

I dodn't have to read the article......our schedule looks hard because our team won't be very good this year so the teams we're playing will be hard to beat.
Our schedule has nothing to do with our ability or in-ability to compete. If we were stacked, the Pats are the Pats, the Ravens are the Ravens, if we struggle the Jets are the Jets and the Giants are the Giants. Schedule difficulty is more about who/where/when. Under that circumstance(s), our schedule is difficult regardless if we are stacked or depleted.

Every year there is a worst to first team, and there will be one or more this year. Every year a player goes down early, thus crippling said team. Obviously the Pats are who we think they are, the Chargers should be a good team this season, right? What if Rivers goes down, then all the sudden that game doesn't look as tough as once thought.

I can't stand early byes, other than last season, seems we get an early bye every year, wtf!
