churn and burn... evaluate fast and furious... move on to the next one...

Louis going out will make it easier for Preston williams to catch onto the 53

Asiata being cut is no big deal, maybe one of the dudes we brought in can replace him- that won’t be a hard task

Nate orchard. Another guy that can’t do anything vs a top 3 roster worthy tackle

About time they gave up on Asiata. The guy just wasn't an NFL guard. As far as the WR, I wasn't expecting anything out of him even if he was healthy. I hope Williams gets a real chance. He's the most talented WR on the roster........not saying he's the best here but he has the best tools. Keep him in line and we might have something there.

Asiata's couldnt adjust to the speed 9f the game. He was just too slow both physically and mentally. Pity too as he could have been a mauler that the old staff wanted. Ah well.

People act as if Asiata had any relevance on this team. He cost us a 5th round pick in the past and was worthy of that pick. He has had ample time for us to evaluate him. He did not translate his talent to the NFL so he rode the bench and now he is gone. Good Bye.

Evaluate more. Evaluate more often. Find a gem or not - no loss to the team.

Was it kiper that said Asiata blew chunks and that we over drafted him?

Yup!! And he got vilified for doing so on Finheaven. If I remember correctly he was one of the very few who openly hated Asiata's pro potential. Thought he outright sucked.

Kiper said he had an undrafted grade on Asiata. It really stood out because Kiper is seldom harsh on later round picks.

That pick was an example of everything you don't want to do in the draft. Overaged guy who was never a highly rated recruit or impressive athlete. The Dolphins probably got stuck looking at some meaningless tape or trying to force a scheme fit:

https://relativeathleticscores.com/2017/04/23/isaac-asiata-ras/

"His composite speed score of 4.49 includes his forty yard dash time, twenty yard split, and ten yard split with him grading below average for his position."

"His composite explosiveness score of 4.41 includes his vertical leap and broad jump, measuring in below average for his position."

"His composite agility score of 4.08 includes his 5-10-5 short shuttle and L-3-Cone drills, measuring in below average for his position."

I'm glad Barron got cut also. Very short arms. 2 star recruit. Another overaged guy who turns 24 next month. There have to be more intriguing guys than that.

I have no idea why we struggle to identify players at offensive line. Maybe the minor league guy has a chance. I can't say I know anything about him.

Love it...coaching staff saw Asiata was soft at camp and was not fully engaged with being professional football player. Solution cut him, don't waste time.
remember when Gase kept Dallas Thomas and Billy Turner on the roster to start them... I still don't find it funny

Im struggling to figure out your deal with the stars. Do you simply draw a line on stars coming out of high school or is it just another tool to use to speak on players? If you do draw the line, where is it? Would you simply just not draft a 2 star recruit???
