In reality, he will not be a major contributor this year. He tore his ACL late in the season and it takes a long time to fully recover without having limitations from the injury.
Wasn't great to begin with.
He won't be on the team next year.
I don't think Baker fits the D that the Dolphins are going to run now. Maybe he will be able to transcend this, but I have my doubts.God bless Jerome Baker.
The third round has not been kind to us.
Pray we don't have injuries in the back half because we are paper thin.
When you get players with injury history then they're bound to get hurt again. This is why I laugh every time somebody here says that we should bring Hayes back. Two years in a row on IR and yet people want him back. Some people just like more of the same crap every year.We already have 4 players on I.R. and OTAs aren't even finished yet. LOL. We have to have the most injury prone players on the planet.
Riding the bench no matter how talented is riding the bench. Laundry was a great example of what I call health talented. The guy took a lickin and kept tickin. Talent comes in 3 forms, mental, health and physical talent. Too many fans and scouts overlook the first 2 and just focus on the last. I mentioned last year outside of Wilson who was a unknown that our wide receiver unit as a whole was a mash unit. Still have the same group and there is talent there but it a limping group. When you get players with injury history then they're bound to get hurt again. Even when he was healthy? The guy wasn't that good his 1st year(And I said that to everyone on the board and said Tony Lippett was better) and he was atrocious his 2nd year. I've never seen a player regress so quickly.
