Fmia Power Rankings. Guess Who Is #32 Lol

Yes, they lost players. I'm not taking issue with that.

My arguement is that the players lost didn't have a huge effect on our w/l totals.

Taking your three examples, RT is the only one that coul possibly have a major impact, and that is only if Rosen and Fitzpatrick are trash.

DAs production from the slot can easily be replaced, and Wake, at this point in his carreer was a situational player at best, IMO.

All I'm saying is that the players we let go were hardly difference makers.

wake. though diminished was all we have off the edge. James isn't a loss imo.. though im admittedly biased against him and think hes a finesse waste of money.

I'm way more concerned with where we finish at the end of the year vs. random people's, random guesses before the first seeing even a single practice play.

I really don't know why people care about power rankings. They are nothing more than opinions in list form.

Some of them have a mathematical component, like the recent ESPN version. Once it's pure subjectivity I don't pay any attention.

There was an NBA guy for USA Today who had a fantastic feel for ranking every team first to last prior to the season. This was maybe 15 years ago or more. I back checked several years. He was so sharp I began using his numbers the same way as the college preseason ratings. I didn't care about results at all. If it was #7 vs #18 and I was getting points, I'm playing #7. Stuff like that. Wonderfully simple and no thought required whatsoever. Also no second guessing. It was a great grind system for several years. That is the only time I ever used a preseason power rating list for pro sports. I can't imagine not using them for college football or basketball.

I certainly don't think he was worth the contract he got, but he was an above average RT, IMO.

Guys, I love these last place rankings. We all know we aren't legit. Every position has holes. We have a brand new HC who has yet to put his signature on this team.
I am excited to watch this complete re-do, and aside from that, every position we rise above 32 is a small win.
Now let's get out there and beat the Patriots!

"Lost a ton of players"?

Who, aside from James, did we lose, that you consider productive?
CamWake , Frank Gore, R Quinn, they were all productive.

I’d put us 32nd with confidence barring a rosen game elevation and some top shelf scheme and position coaching.

I’d take a top 25 finish personnel wise and run with it.

A top 6 to 8 pick if not prior looks like an absolute lock.

Color me silly, but I don’t see how a middle of the pack NFL team goes from roughly the 13th worst team to the absolute worst in the span of 1 offseason.

Did the Dolphins play over their head last season? Probably so. But they still were a decent NFL team until key injuries to playmakers and their o-line.

Last I checked, the Dolphins didn’t own the #1 pick in this past draft. Arizona did. Nor did the Dolphins have a top 3 selection. They were outside the top 10!!!!!!

No chance that many teams leap frogged the Miami Dolphins since the end of December.

Gore was productive. I wouldn't have minded keeping him for another season, but I understand the decision, and assuming we can coach our young backs up in pass pro, it is not a major blow.

Wake is no longer a three down player, and his best days are behind him. I have a ton of respect for him, but neither he, nor Quinn were particularly effective last year.

I realize we are short on pass rushers. In reality, though, we were near the bottom of the league with them.

Can you really make the case for them being productive to the point of being a big drop off in talent?

Makes lots of sense until proven otherwise. Stay tuned.

Really when Gore went down we we're done. He was money and everyone else on offense was hit or miss. Also his play rested our defense and gave them a chance. Drake is a home run hitter but not a move the chains guy and Ballage is a big back who so far best talent is catching the ball out of the backfield. We need to find guys like a Gore or Laundry moving forward that will be dependable play in and play out and move the chains if we really are going to be winners.

I wouldn't have it any other way.

32 or 31 is about where I see this team placing this upcoming season. Sounds about right to me.
