Slimm's 2020 Wide Receivers (underclassman)

Gabe Davis is much better than 31 on this list. Has great hands, size and body control.

Love how Lynn Bowden Jr plays with the ball in the air. When I first started watching him and saw the punt returns and WR screens, I began to worry that he'd be a Cordarrelle Patterson type, who is amazing with the ball in his hands but doesn't do the things necessary to thrive as a receiver (route running, winning contested catches, etc.), but Bowden tracks the ball well, shows up big in 50/50 situations (not elite but plenty good), and he just shows really good instincts for the position. I wonder how much of that comes from his time at QB. Doubt he's as fast as Parris Campbell, but he looks like he'll run in the 4.4's, and he's already shown more as a receiver than Campbell ever did at OSU. We can argue how much of that is on Campbell vs the OSU staff, but it's always better to have a guy wh has done it.

Taysir Mack is looking pretty damn impressive against PSU

An awful lot of free releases hell I think they all were Saturday for tylan Wallace. Anybody seen this kid get off/deal with press?

All those free releases allow for him to stutter step off the los and set up the db before he gets into his route.

I have a feeling that conference tape is littered with nothing but clean releases.

That's going to apply for just about any receiver in college. What's your point?

I just think you see more of that in that style offense in that conference.

Ok. I guess I'm not clear on what you're getting at here. Are you saying you don't like Wallace or don't think he can play in the NFL or what...

No I like what I see. I just think the sec for example doesn’t allow as many free releases. But maybe they do and I’ve just overlooked it or taken it for granted.

Who you taking first... him or ruggs? He looks like he’s probably the cleaner route runner. Locates tbe ball well late. And he’s a willing blocker.

I don’t know though that I could top 10 it. I get a little bit of a bigger Steve smith vibe

Only top 10 receiver in this draft is Jeudy.

It's close but definitely Wallace over Ruggs. Wallace plays like he's 6'6" with stickum at the catchpoint over DB's. At the moment of truth I'm constantly in awe of what Wallace does over and over and over again.

Yeah he goes and gets it no doubt. Plays bigger than his size at the catch point

I saw you said Jeudy was torry Holt. I like that comp. I think Jeudy may have better feet even.
