I'm over here now
What are they?

What were they coming out of college?

The only (2) I can think of are attitude and concussions.

Did he have a few concussions in college? Any type of injury history?

I don’t think he has an issue with attitude at all. Everything so far has been perfect.

I haven't heard about any concussion issues, and they are rare for the QB position, particularly a non running one, so that is not a big concern to me.

I think the attitude thing was more perception, than reality. His former team mates have almost to a man, had his back.

The main issues I've heard (other than what you mentioned) were him being a tick slow deciphering defenses, and a tendency to throw late.

If those are true, let's see him clean them up with practice and experience.

Playing on that cards team behind that offensive line didn't help him any.

Right now the only issue is that he hasn't been a winning quarterback. People grade QBs by wins/losses so there's always going to be that critique until proven otherwise.

The attitude issue was about a couple of things.

He is very bright and has interests away from football. He was outspoken(for an athlete anyway)about some political/social issues in college. I remember him talking about the hypocrisy of the NCAA as an institution. The media complains when athletes give them nothing and then jump on them when they actually give strong opinions. They are either boring or they should stay in their lane.

The other thing was a comment he made about not needing football. He was talking about his ability to make a good living away from Football(he has an interest in Investment Banking, you know like most college FB players do). It came off as him not caring about Football which was not what he meant.

Coaches and scouts have a history of not liking players who are too smart, they can be threatened by a player who is smarter than they are, and they don't like a player who asks "why?" when he told to do something.

My only worry about him coming out were about his frame and his durablity. He was nicked up quite a bit at UCLA.

He likes hot tubs and poetry!

Beyond that he actually believes in climate change
and assorted "liberal" intellectual stuff...

I've heard he wants to have the NFL change the football
to a "synthetic" material and leave the pig behind!

Sounds like kosher football to me!

:eyepop:

I was worried about Mayfield's size last year as well, but he is a tough little SOB so I think he will be fine.

Murray looks awfully thin to me, very slightly built. He will need all his quickness and agility to stay in one piece in the NFL

This is a great post, and it actually makes me worry more about Josh Rosen as our QB now.

Not so much the physical part (although I am worried more now - thanks lol)

But, does Josh Rosen even CARE about winning a Super Bowl? I think that’s a fair question. And one I’d like to see him answer live on the spot.

This kid is like Ricky Schroeder from Silver Spoons only not as lovable.

We need a QB hungry for The Ring. We haven’t had one that even cared since Dan Marino, IMO.

Does Josh Rosen want to win the Super Bowl? And if he does, how bad does he want it?

Those are real honest questions I’d like answers to.

out of the Millions and Millions of kids playing football he is one of the best QBs i dont think you need to be concerned if he wants to win a Superbowl. no matter what anyone says if you are one of the very best at something you want to get the achievement of being the champion.
