I read some of it. I don’t recall anyone saying he’s the worst running back in the league, though I could be mistaken.
Yeah, it's like if you don't agree 100% with someone then they decide you must be saying the complete opposite of what they are. Drake's already cracked 600+ yards and if he gets more opportunities he'll get more yards, simple as that. That doesn't mean he's the bees knees.

Like MJD said he's, what, the 30th best starting RB or something. But that's starting RBs, far from the worst RB in the league. Drake certainly deserves 10+ touches a game, no argument there.

So.... You must know the truth since you know that neither of those "delusional" lines of thought are accurate...
please , oh knowledgeable one, inform us mortals
Ok.

Drake is a serviceable back with excellent speed, above average, but still not top level, ability as a receiver.

He falls short as a "between the tackles", "move the pile" back, and to this point, hasn't been an effective short yardage runner.

He also often hesitates, looking for a bigger gain, when the proper play, situationally, is to hit the designed hole for a sure positive yardage.

His pass blocking skills are questionable, but thus far in his carreer has improved to an, at least, acceptable level.

I like Drake, he was running great at the end of the season before we got Gore. Before last season I stated one of my biggest concerns was that Gore was going to take snaps from Drake and F things up. Got laughed at, came true.

Gore was an excellent runner for us.

Explain to me how that "F,ed" things up? Would our win total be higher without him?

:good: :hclap::guard: :shrug::surr:

But seriously... I see your points and I still say that despite those perceived shortcomings he has yet to be on a team that has given him the carries needed to gain the experience (reps) or the blocking that has made anyone comfortable...

I get all you say...I still think he is better than he is being described but we will see come September

I think you misinterpreted my original post as being critical of Drake, when that was not my intent.

I was being critical of those who make such extreme statements, and are so far from obvious reality, that they lose credibility.

You don't seem like one of those.

Phins made a mistake in not keeping Gore. Drake isn't cut out to be a 20 carry a game guy. Never was at Alabama either (yeah, I know Henry was on that team). I think Drake and Ballage split time.

When i would brag on him to my friends (a lot of them bears fans) gore would always make some miraculous run. Haven't been able to do that since Ricky left. That was a high for me last year that i will miss

I’ll say 800ish

Let’s say he plays every game this year. That’s only 50 yards a game. Absolutely doable
