Maybe the way Christian Wilkins crashed into NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell on draft night gave Brian Flores ideas.

The Dolphins are flirting with having Wilkins, a rookie defensive tackle, moonlighting on offense.

That’s 315 pounds coming at you with a head of steam.

“It’s great to have Christian,” offensive coordinator Chad O’Shea said after Sunday’s practice. “We worked with him on the offense today, but certainly all players will have an opportunity to create their role based on what they can do, and the more you can do here, the more you’re going to help the team.”

Would love to see him back there. A defense guy scoring a TD can lift up a whole team.

I'll take more third and one conversions any way we can get them. Keep the chains moving, time of possession and fewer three and outs. Somebody watched some Miami tape.

I can see this for goal line situations with a play action!

If he's in the backfield wouldn't it be as a blocking FB rather than taking touches?

This is what I like to hear. Very New Englandesque. Guy playing both sides of the ball. Doing what they want to do... Having fun.

it will be exciting to see him run in for a Td, but we need this kid to be a solid NFL player for us

I'm not against it, but he was drafted to be a dominant DT, so let's not let FB duty get in the way of that. Nobody drafts a FB in the top half of the first round … unless his name is Csonka of course. Then it is a very wise draft pick.
