Schad: Josh Rosen – This Is Your Miami Dolphins Moment, Seize The Job

I wouldn't call Rosen's last 4 games somewhat productive. Wasn't he pulled for Glennon a couple of times or was he hurt?

For me it is going to be hard to stomach the Fiztpatrick "best QB on the field" nonsense
As a 100 year QB and his past proves he will look very good in these circumstances and accurate and productive
We all know this...it is kind of meaningless
I m for using him as a starter only if we need to have a sacrificial lamb until our OL becomes somewhat capable but that is it
It serves ZERO purpose to have him start for any considerable time even if he out performs Rosen in PS

We need to see what Rosen is...PERIOD
He needs to play ...A LOT!
Regarding the point that it may not seem fair to Fitz...well boo hoo for him
the guy has had a 100 years to prove he can be a full time starter in this league and has failed every time
Sorry he just needs to be out of the way regardless of the beat writers saying how great he is

Here is an in season article about the Cardinals with 4 games left in the season. For those with doubt about Rosen read the whole article and see what conditions Rosen was playing under. It is pretty pathetic. Remember a lot had to happen in the weeks leading up to this dismal point. Not a lot for him to work with but still went out there and was somewhat effective under the circumstances.

ummmm....

"I think the number one thing is, when you have a franchise quarterback as we do in Josh (Rosen), in my opinion, you have to do a great job of protecting him. I think it starts up front with the offensive line."

Does not look promising....

I don't have high expectations for Rosen, but I am hopeful he'll be successful.
I am just the opposite. I had high expectations, but after hearing Travis talk about Rosen’s accuracy issues against air, I now have serious doubts. We need to stay the course and still build the culture and try to win every game, but we also need to be looking at QBs next draft. Rosen is smart and all that, but this is too big for him.

people need to relax. He's making $2 million so there's no rush to expect him to be a fully developed, franchise QB productive for us immediately. It takes time people. If he was an obvious franchise QB talent he wouldn't have been given up by ARI and he wouldn't have lasted that late in the draft. He has question marks. But he also has talent and potential.

Some stability, good coaching and experience is what he needs. Passing judgment on him five days into training camp is just incredibly stupid. Especially by known Tannehill apologists who spent years making excuses for him. If he's not earning the starting spot by week 6 then we'll have a good indication we might need to look towards the 2020 draft. Either way, whether he is starting or Fitz...we're going to be terrible.

By week 10, whether he has earned it or not, he does need to be thrown out there for the final weeks so we can get a better sense of whether he's worth developing going forward though. Tua is not an elite NFL QB prospect. Fromm IS though and the only thing that should prevent us from pursuing him i.e tanking, is that Rosen has seized the starting job with great play and solidifies his status as our franchise QB.

Not much difference between Rosen, Donald and Allen last year. The other two franchises feel they have their QB of the future. All three teams were picking in the top 10 with Jets picking third. You can plug in Donald or Allen on the ****ty Cardinals and you would get the same results. Kingsbury had a hard on for Murray, so whomever was the QB would have been traded.

I'm not saying Rosen is the one but we are not worse off than the Jets or Bills when it comes to the QB position. At least it only costs us a 2nd and a 5th round pick and we get the 2nd back in 2020. We get to evaluate Rosen this year to see if he is our QB of the future.

Allen and Darnold are elite QB prospects. Rosen is not in the same tier. But he still has franchise QB talent. THAT'S the difference

I believe If Rosen can settle down and get his accuracy issues squared away, I think with his decent pocket awareness, he can do something. But that is a big IF. To me, there isn't a reason, bar an undisclosed injury or arm fatigue, that he should be this inaccurate against air. At this level, he should be nailing most of those passes unless he doesn't practice, and if that is the case, I don't want him anyway. I wonder why we hear about Fitzpatrick staying after practice and throwing the with the WR's and not Rosen?

I think most of us weren't holding our breaths on Rosen actually being our franchise savior. It was a low risk move and at least adds more interest going into 2019 season. I just worry that if we start Fitz all year we will have another 6-7 win season and not have our choice of top QB next draft. We may have to trade away valuable assets to get our guy as opposed to just eating 2019 season and lose out with Rosen so we have our choice of top QB prospect and still keep our picks we have accumlated.

All that being said, it's still very early and we are all jumping to conclusions right now. But it's going as I expected so far. Trading a 2nd round for franchise QB would have been just way too easy for us Dolphins fans. Those of you are disappointed with Rosen thus far should know better.

Hahahahahahahaaahaha. Allen and Darnold haven’t shown a damn thing either and they had better teams around them then Rosen had. They were honestly just a shitty as Rosen was last year.
