I just hope he can stay out of trouble. Many promising careers have been destroyed by a player's personality.

As an undrafted player at a deep position, Preston Williams is competing to make the Dolphins as a fifth or sixth receiver.

But after watching another impressive performance by the 6-5 rookie on Saturday, Dolphins cornerback Xavien Howard predicted that Williams eventually will be much more than that.

“He can be a No. 1 receiver one day,” Howard said. “That guy can be special.”

Worth noting:

▪ The scrimmage was marred by nearly 20 penalties, many foiling drives led by Rosen. Coach Brian Flores has spoken of having a disciplined team that commits few penalties, but Saturday was a step back in that regard.

▪ Scrimmage highlights, beyond Rosen’s outstanding play: Howard had two interceptions, both on balls thrown by Fitzpatrick. He could have had a third pick, but it slipped through his hands and was caught for a touchdown by Isaiah Ford, on a throw from Rosen. ...

Mark Walton was the No. 3 back, ahead of seventh-round Myles Gaskin, and looked good. ... McDonald knocked down a pass from Fitzpatrick and continues to put together a very good camp. ... Among those with would-be sacks: Baker (on a blitz), Wilkins (another strong day), Harris (two sacks, was active), Dwayne Hendrix (impressive all camp) and Adolphus Washington. … Jomal Wiltz had a nice pass breakup. ...

As I said earlier, Fitzpatrick may start the season (If Rosen continues, with Fitz showing inconsistency, even that may change), but once Rosen starts to feel comfortable, it's going to be tough to keep him off the field, and start the next 12 to 15 games.

If Rosen is closed to Fitz he is going start season.
Fitz is not going start if he is up and down. he is too old of QB to be doing that.

I agree, but will be a great backup If/When Rosen becomes the starting QB.

Though I still believe Rosen will be a better, more consistent QB then Fitz. I still have to give credit to Fitz, he is lights out in 2-3 games every year, making him a great insurance policy at backup if Rosen is not able to go for a few games.

fitz remind me of mat moore. I am not knocking fitz but he is better off showing Rosen how be good starter in nfl. If he dont start this yr it over for him. As being starter in nfl.

Really pisses me off when they want me to pay to read their content

I'm on the fence with this one.

I can see the benifit of Rosen viewing from the sideline, to get a feel for what the coaches have in mind, from a situational standpoint.

Dolphins need throw Rosen in fire. Stop play w kid. All other second yr qb are starting w lesson stress. Dolphins are putting to much pressure on Rosen.

If you get one of the 2-3 lights out games when he fills in, and not the other 12 or 13 stinkers, lol.

Hope it helps. I hate that crap too. I only read select articles from the sports section. The rest of the paper/site is worthless to me.
