Drew Lock Continues To Climb While Dwayne Haskins Drops

So those pending for Haskins how do you feel about him after this preseason game?

I say this every year - but anyone giving hot takes on rookie quarterbacks are the first people you have to stop paying attention too. Much less after their first preseason game.

Although I will say that I watched a little bit of Drew Lock in his first preseason game against the Falcons and he didn't look good at all. I thought his coach Vic Fangio summed it up best when he said, "I was hoping for more, but I'm not surprised"...

Lock did finally manage to throw his first TD pass of the preseason last night with about 3 minutes left in the game against 4th string camp bodies. Which he quickly followed up by throwing an interception on his next drive to those same camp bodies. I thought the most interesting thing about that game was Paxton Lynch playing well against his former team. I believe the Dolphins had Lynch in for a workout late last year.

All these rookie QB's need to be going out and throwing interceptions in the preseason. You learn more from those than you do from trying not to make mistakes.

I am not saying he is a bust but some people where talking about him like he was the second coming of Montana. I never expected much from lock even in college I though people hyped him up to much.

I did expect Haskins to look better than he did though and at least be in competition for the second string.

If he is or isn't, you're not gonna know this early into a career. Instant gratification plagues far too many fans that want to see positive results immediately.

Do you happen to know how Montana looked his 1st preseason?
