Bucs/fins Scrimmage Updates

I wonder how long it will take to see Nkemdiche get into form and hear his name in these tweets. We need more pressure on the line. I like the sound of Wilkins, Godchaeux, and Nkemdiche as the front three.

Sounds like we should be running more 2 TE sets with how bad the line sounds.

Rosen starting to pick up some steam is promising

Please let the Drake injury be nothing
I agree, i think this no tackling in preseason practices is hurting the speed of all Dline development across the league. We have good talent, hopefully we see some flashes Friday.

Ummm...you have seen the talent on this team?

While I don't think Rosen is as bad as he was in Arizona, I think there are three guys with more talent in this next draft...I also doubt we will win more than 4 games so we should be in a position to draft one of them.

I'm almost 100% sure we will be drafting a QB in round one in 2020.
If we do take a QB in the first round then I hope they actually give the new guy an O-line to work with. I'd spend the money in free agency for at least two O-line guys and that way you'd know what you're getting. This team has sucked at drafting O-line for year. They have missed even in the first two rounds so imo free agency would be the way to go. Of course if they knew they'd be drafting a QB in 2020 then trading for Rosen was a waste. I'll stop here for now.

Rosen isn’t a waste. It was a smart move. Very cheap backup. Showcase him for a few years and trade him for some picks. Just like the Pats did with Jimmy G.

Some of you give Rosen zero chance of being the franchise huh. While I don't think he's the answer I do give him a 20-25% chance of keeping us from looking QB

Haha not very much faith from you either

The OLine as a unit right now is right there with the 2013 one as being the worst unit we have fielded.

Tunsil being the best player probably edges this one over the 2013 one . . . But I really feel like it's

1, 7, 8, 9, 10

Vs.

2, 3, 4, 5, 6

It's pretty darn pathetic at this point.

So trading a 2nd round pick for a back up is a good move in your opinion?

I dunno if it is that bad yet. It is not good by any means but that OL couldnt even hold

Well, I wanted to wait till I read everything first. That O-line seems as bad as ever once again. How do you really evaluate your QB's with an O-line that bad. I have to say this......several posters here said it was a mistake to draft Wilkins at 13 and to trade for Rosen because the O-line was so bad it wouldn't matter to have Wilkins or Rosen. I'm starting to wonder if they were right. For years we've seen that the O-line has held this team back and here we are again and the same thing seems to be happening. Maybe they'll get better but I'm not holding my breath at this point.

The sequence of events just didnt make any sense. If you thought you were gonna get Rosen, why not help him out in the first round by getting him a olineman instead of reaching for a guy in the third round. The whole thing smelled like window dressing the tank narrative. "look we went out and got a QB. We arent tanking". They went out and got a QB alright. The QB that got the first pick in the draft behind a bad oline. That same bad oline has followed him to miami.

Only Miami would have a prior year top 10 pick qb in camp who started 3/4s of the prior season elsewhere and NEED to bench him due to o line play concerns the following year.

Only us.

We are really good at finding chunks of coal in the rough when it comes to drafting o-line.

To be clear, trading a 2nd round pick for a starting QB that was drafted top 10 is not a horrible move. But two things here. First, if you're planning on drafting a QB high in 2020 then why waste our 2nd round pick this year on a back up QB when you could have drafted O-line?
If you're really planning on giving Rosen a real chance of being your QB of the future then why not go O-line with your first round pick and yes, I loved the Wilkins pick. He was one of my favorite players in the draft but you need to have a plan and right now I'm not sure what that plan is.

I think rosen could be a solid backup right now if he never got any better.

So I’m not really sure what I’m saving him from other than self preservation.

If I’m drafting a qb top pick next year what does it matter if I saved rosen or not? If we do that he’s gonna be plan b anyways.
