Salguero - Neither Rosen Or Fitzpatrick Will Be The Dolphins Long Term Quarterback

Rosen looks like the real deal to me so far.

He's obviously not Baker Mayfield, but I see him as being better than Josh Allen and on equal footing with Darnold.

The offense looks good, but without guards no QB is going to have much success.

Also, a little reminder for the part time NFL fans.

Fitzpatrick was basically the MVP of the NFL going into week 5 last year.

Fitz CAN and HAS won plenty of games in the NFL.

As for Alicia Silverstone, err Ar-moronado.

Remember he was caught cheering when the Dolphins lost once.

He will always be just a straw-weight looking for attention any way he can get it. ;)
Well Josh Allen is a pretend QB. A QB who barely hits 50% of his throws isn't really a QB in my book. Then I see on Twitter how his fans blame the WRs for dropping his horrible passes lol very comical

Yep, unless Rosen plays you out of range to draft a QB, you make that pick every time.

Without question.

I want Josh to succeed, I love the way we acquired him and He has the most potential of any QB we have acquired since 13 hung em up.

But despite the mess in front of him, fair or unfair, there is no “wait it out” like Ryan Tannehill here. After the season if you are in range of a top QB target, you need to run that card up and then focus on the OLine. You still will have Rosen here but he will take a backseat to the draft pick. If he comes of age the following season when a little more talent upfront is added, man that is the type of problem we could only dream of.

There is no Oline right of Tunsil, no pass rushers, no second CB, questionable FS play and no LB depth (and the starters aren’t great).

If we are not in a position to reasonably acquire a Top 2020 QB after the season, Flores and friends deserve a medal of some sorts.

If it was this easy for anyone to decide whether any football player is going to make it or not based on pre-season play they wouldn't be writing for a paper they would be running a team.

What exactly has Rosen shown so far that screams franchise QB to anyone right now? His rookie season was a mess and he doesn't look like he has made a dramatic jump entering season two.
Looks like you're cutting & pasting this agenda-driven narrative in every Rosen thread. It's ponderous! (and transparent).

I'm really curious to see what the OL looks like by Week 8ish. NE has started the year with struggling OL's only to finish with top-tier units, and if Miami can duplicate that aspect of the Patriots, you're talking free money. I say that as someone who thinks it would have been wiser to just draft OL in the 1st (Dillard or Lindstrom) and 2nd (McCoy), but I'd love to be wrong.

It'd piss me off if Miami doesn't solve the OL then feels the need to draft one or two on Day 2 of 2020. Miami should be looking at guys like Tylan Wallace, Jalen Reagor, and (if he declares) Lynn Bowden Jr in that range. High chance that 1st Round talents fall, because the class is so loaded. Since it became clear that Murray would be out of Miami's range, my goal for Miami has been: enter 2020 with 1) Tua, 2) a solid OL, and 3) an ascending group of receivers. I know this board really likes Miami's receivers, and the depth isn't bad, but the top-end talent is below what you need - well below what you need.

I honestly question weather Salguero even watched the Falcon game. Rosen played very well with the exception of the pick. Flores had some comments on his performance such as body language, command of the huddle and managing the gunslinger thing. Rosen will improve on those areas because he has a ton of pride and he really wants to succeed badly. Rosen is coming on and he will get more comfortable in this offense the longer he's in it. The o-line was pretty awful but I expect them to get better each week under Googs. Rosen to Williams is getting to be a lot of fun to watch!

If you read the report it’s fairly obvious Armando got his info from a high ranking team source.
Wouldn't surprise me with this front office. Not exactly the kind of info you want to get out right before the season starts. It's a good way to chase away fans this season.

It is kinda easy to spot the guys who actually watch the games and those that don't.

Anyone who thinks that Allen is better than Mayfield simply has NOT actually watched them play.

Mayfield showed that he was the class of that draft the very first time they put him in a real game.

I watched their preseason game and was really saddened by seeing Bernie Kosar working the sidelines for the Browns.

I was a big fan of his when he was at UM and when he was with the Browns.

He looks much older & more worn out than Bob Griese, & he is younger than Marino.

He could do a cameo on the Walking Dead without any makeup or mask. :(

Training camp and the preseason mean jack sh*t. Can the man play a regular season game in a Fins uniform first before critiquing him? Sheesh
If you aren't good in training camp, and you aren't good in the preseason, other than looking for excuses to throw at him, why do you think he needs a regular season game to actually START the evaluation?

definitely not. Allen is the best QB from that loaded class. Only Mahomes has as much talent in the entire league. I'll get crucified for this I'm sure lmao

i suspect only Baker Mayfield has a shot from that "loaded class." And I haven't crowned him yet.

We're praying Josh Rosen proves me wrong on that front.

You say Allen is the best QB from that class, and you say only Mahomes has as much talent in the entire league.

But Mahomes has quarterback talent. Josh Allen has athletic talent. The gap is so wide, Mahomes may be #1 QB in the league and Allen #32, and that doesn't begin to describe it.

Allen will fail, because he will never pass the football accurately enough to sustain success.

Perhaps he can utilize his "second only to Mahomes talent" by switching to fullback.

Wow, if that's "very well" it's safe to say you haven't watched many actual good quarterbacks lately.

First, the pick counts. Sorry. You can't sweep that under the rug. Second, the completion to Preston Williams where he just threw the ball in the air as he was getting tackled is picked at least 90 out of 100 times so that's luck that it wasn't. Third, there were other terrible passes that were completely dropped by the defense.

"Very well"... wow.

Wow, Salguero really is retarded. Why do people take this guy seriously?
Do you disagree? I think it’s pretty evident already that Rosen isn’t the long term solution. While he may develop into a competent starter, we are looking for an elite starter and Rosen will never be elite.

The only way Miami won't draft a qb prospect is if Rosen absolutely kills it in this system.

If Rosen doesn't then Miami will suck and have a top pick and probably #1 in all honesty. Dolphins love Tua, they will run that card up with zero hesitation IMO.
