This Year Feels Different

Cleveland might not care now, but they sure as hell cared two years ago when they did go 0-16. I don't want to be in the history books, grouped in with Tampa Bay, Detroit and Cleveland as a team that went winless. Just my opinion

What would feel different is if we fixed the Oline.

Not trying to be a dick but....yeah....fix the damn oline.

Maybe but highly doubtful we’ll trade for Trent Williams to show belief in Rosen.

I still say 5 wins...I can understand if it's a bit worse or better, because it's difficult to judge how bad the talent was/is on this team, as it sure seems like some of it was completely misused last year.

I'm just so glad that 90% of the initial posts were a reality check. I was scared people were going to buy into some wishful thinking... the thread title itself actually made me chuckle out loud before I opened it. Thank God we had some realists in here!

What difference would it make if you are 0-16 or 3-13? Just get the QB situation right and you are on your way. Do you think Cleveland fans this season care that they were 0-16 two years ago?

Are you crazy? I wouldn't wish a winless season on my worst enemy. A winless season is the most pathetic thing in all of sports. 1-15 and 0-16 are light years apart in mine (and I think a lot of peoples) book.

Right now it is another year with the same issue we have had for like a decade, the OL. Coach and QB have not been the issue here, lack of depth and oft injured OL starters have been every freaking year for like what seems like FOREVER! We have won the vast majority of our games over the last several years when the OL has been healthy.

The ones who dont clearly see a difference ALREADY from day 1, there is no hope for them. These are the people who are never pleased with anything, also the same ones who disagree just to be disagreeable.

This year feels different because I will be watching college football more than the NFL. Roll Tide and Go Big Blue (Utah State, I think).

I'd argue this year doesn't feel different, but this staff feels different.

I've said many times I don't have high expectations for this year (not really going out on a limb there), but I do have hope for the future. Pretty sure I said that about Sparano, Philbin, and Gase though, so who knows.

Fins up!

I think this year feels different because we are better coached. Guys are in the right spots but we dont have the talent to win the 1 on 1s enough. So we will still lose a good amount of games and most likely be a bad team. But we should at least be running the right plays at the right time which will be an improvement on last year.

Here is my standard . . .
1st was FistPump and his read zone rules to make the QB paranoid.
Pjilbin - I'm prejudiced . . . didn't like him the day he was hired.
Gase - I was optimistic year 1, but, even then, he shared one thing with FistPump and Philbin . . .
the FO. Massive contracts to FAs who failed, or, FAs who were 2 steps from retirement.

THAT is why this year is different. Not the coaching, not the players, but the absence of ridiculous FA contracts and draftees, more than one of whom look like promising prospects. To date, coaching is unknown and half the roster looks unknown so 'different' doesn't fit that group.
