Micheal Dieter Played Well?

I did not key on him specifically, but he did have a couple of nice run blocks.

I didn't watch the full game, but reading the thread and twitter I'd assume Dieter played like ****.

PFF doesn't agree.

I thought Deiter played poorly due to tons of interior pressure. However, he was no where near as bad as Calhoun. He was a disaster. If I can stomach it, I’ll re watch the game again but I definitely remember left side being much better than the right, though I attributed that mostly to Tunsil. So Maybe pff is right.

Calhoun has potential, but in the few snaps I watched he was bad.

I'm praying Miami can have a NE effect on OL and by mid year the low drafted guards are playing really well.

like I said in another thread. I thought Deiter showed very well when Tunsil and Kilgore were in. Nice communication, very good at passing off stunts. He even continued it once Tunsil went out but the play of the OL went down when Kilgore left. A lot of communication went bye bye.

I think Deiter got some crap for the False Start that was waived off due to half ending (which is one thing), and the play before where he was held that resulted in him not being able to pull.

Of course, the key for OL to remember is if someone looks like they got beat to the inside, it's not always them but the person next to them

Please point out in this video where he allowed tons of interior pressure, he looked really good to me in pass pro. I also did not see Shaq being disastrous.

Rewatching the game I keyed the guards and the starting OL was really good at the beginning of the game.

Once they took out Tunsil, Kilgore and Davis is when it started going downhill quick. They werent pretty but they also weren't disastrous

Pass pro was pretty good in the first half what I saw was a couple throws a little off and some horrible drops.

Tunsil, Kilgore and Davis are absolutely essential if you plan to start two rookie guards.

I wouldn't expect any semblance of competency once they were pulled out of the game. Unfortunate, but our current backup centers and tackles cannot get it done.

I'm not really sure why the guy is getting hammered on here. As a rookie guard I think he is progressing well and has performed nicely on the field.

Normally it’s guys who didn’t have said player on their draft board so they need to be correct.

If I remember correctly, Quinten Nelson had some struggles early in preseason last year.
