Miami Herald's Dolphins reporter Adam Beasley was on Sirius Radio. I caught the majority of the interview. Here's paraphrasing what he said.

Asked how Brian Flores felt about Josh Rosen, Beasley basically said that Flores doesn't gush about Rosen. Although he also indicated that might just be Flores trying to motivate Rosen. Beasley also said he thinks there could be a leadership issue with Rosen based mostly on Flores admitting that the body language needs to improve. For some one as tight-lipped as Flores that certainly isn't a positive for Rosen.

Beasley did say there were good young players on the Dolphins, but he questioned the team taking Christian Wilkins over Dwayne Haskins who, by the way, the Redskins are gushing about. That will be interesting to watch moving forward.

That's about it.

What about Fitzpatrick's body language when he threw his helm? lol

Wilkins is so important to our pressure this year. A guy who can command a double team on the interior will free up a lot of 1 on 1 opportunities on the edge.

We may not have our franchise qb on the roster this year but Wilkins is much more of a sure thing than Haskins so far.

MTE. All week long the story was about Rosen's body language. Yet Ryan's body language in yesterday's game was atrocious (he looked like Cutler at times) and I don't see anyone focusing on that.

I get that playing behind a shitty OL can do that to someone. And he was clearly not having a good time playing with the backups. But this whole "body language" narrative with Josh has become too much, imo.

I think Rosen us a laser focused guy when he plays and practices. This is interpreted the wrong way because Flores may have never seen his type of personality or is uncomfortable with it. I can see why fitzpatricks emotional, cheery attitude is more attractive to the coach.

The big thing we need to see is if Rosen has a bad attitude overall and that reflects his play like jay Cutler. or it's his natural demeanor like Aaron Rodgers. That and being subjected to the crap o-line play of or backup tackles will get anyone kissed. The only difference is Rosen could perform while fitzpatrick could not

I like Haskins alot he could be a good QB

I mean I think A LOT of Flores' way of handling Rosen has to do with his/his team's way of coaching/motivating him.

Kid basically needed to be rebuilt mentally, and that is ok. He is only 22. Hell we drafted Tannehill and he was 24 as a starting rookie.

This isn't happening overnight and overanalyzing every mistake, every play he is a half second too slow and all that other stuff his detractors seem to like to do just makes no sense.

It's why Fitzpatrick will likely start the season. Rosen is still a work in progress and having him watch Fitzpatrick for a few weeks and continue to work in practice is all part of a process to put him in the best spot for success. Him potentially "not winning" the week one start literally means nothing in the greater picture.

What we saw from Rosen this week had to make coach Flo smile a bit. Body language was real good, he made good decisions, threw the ball well . . . He was executing what was in front of him. Coach still threw that nugget out there about stepping up to avoid sacks . . . And that is proper. Pocket presence is good but keep working to make it great. Especially with this line. How he handles potentially not being the week 1 starter will be very telling in this overall process.

Look at the schedule. Those first 4 games are no joke. Then you have a bye week and are at home against one of your more winnable games against Washington. If Fitzpatrick is struggling or the team is in general struggling . . . It's the perfect time to insert Rosen and see what we have with him this year.

Patience is needed, not 7 year patience, but more than what some have given him so far.

There is A LOT to like with him

I think this defense will be special this year. Even with 5 or 6 starters out vs the Bucs, this defense still looks very impressive.
