He is going to be traded soon. In your opinion, what is he worth to the Dolphins?

I'm thinking we would offer our 4th?
 
Played right tackle in Seattle I believe. He’s a little stiff and slow footed as a tackle option for my liking on the edge. I think he might be able to play guard.

Doubt I’d trade anything for him.

Everything I have read, including an endorsement by Duane Brown, suggests he is the clear starting RT and they are grooming a 5th rounder who missed all of 2018 as the backup and potential replacement in 2020.

A 4th for Ifedi? Crazy pills if we do that when we had James in house.
 
Ifedi was pretty good in 2018. Keep in mind that Tom Cable OL's are always terrible, so it's hard to knock Ifedi too much for his early struggles - especially when he improved so much after Cable left. I'm guessing the discussion stems from Seattle declining to pick up his 5th-year option, but if they let him walk, I think he'd net them a decent comp pick, and he's currently their best option at RT, so why would they trade him for a 4th?
 
I think he was a first rounder not too long ago. Real big guy. Not sure how good he’s been though

James was a free agent and became the second highest paid Right Tackle in NFL history when Denver committed to him - $51M over 4 yrs (average $12.5M/ yr) with $32M fully guaranteed. My read is that we were not prepared to commit the massive dollars that he got in the open market. He's good but we didn't like him enough to commit the sort of investment that the Broncos made. As such, we didn't really "have him in house" if we weren't prepared to put a franchise tag on him.
