When we were coming into the season, optimism was running wild. people had expectations of a 9 or 10 win season. Now that we are 4 games in, people are assuming that we are now the worst team in football and the head of the suck for luck sweepstakes.

The only issue with this is coming into the season, I looked at entering the bye at 1-3. the only difference between my expectations and reality is a loss to the browns.

coming up after a loss to the jets on monday night football, we have a stretch of 7 very winnable games. I see us coming out of that stretch, even without any homerism, winning 3-4 games. This makes it very difficult in my opinion to get luck.

thoughts on that stretch of games?

Agreed...that's why I haven't gotten my "suck for luck"shirt just yet.lol but if we lose to the jets,I really don't care if we win any more games, but I think if we win we have a very very slight chance to make a turn around, because although we aren't the best team.we have destroyed ourselves and let the other teams walk away with wins..

If it didn't appear as though the team has given up and was playing with no heart i'd agree with you.

I really feel the only teams we can beat are the chiefs and broncos..Other than that I dont even think the other games are winnable

Dude, we are gonna get murdered by the Redskins for sure, probably the Giants and Bills as well. Maybe we'll win vs. Denver, Dallas and Chiefs, get beat by the Raiders, Philly, and the rest of our division. Looks pretty bleak to me, but w/e. no matter how bad they are this year, I am too much of a diehard fan to give up hope for them.

Only delusional people were optimistic entering the year, after what happened at the end of last year.

it reminds me of last season when all we had to do is get to the end of our schedule, which was cake, and then we will win out, and we see how that panned out. this is kind of the same thing. the optomistic part said we have an easy stretch of games in the middle after a 1-4 start and we will be okay... now that we have seen the lack of "give a crap" from the players up till this point, I'm thinking we win maybe 3 or so games over that middle stretch, which would probably put us just out of the luck sweepstakes.

Who in the **** thought we would win 9-10 games? You're surprised we are 0-4? I said it before this season started that the Dolphins were closer to 0-5 then the playoffs. Most realists in here went 5-7 wins.

As for the rest of the season this is a 2 win team. Once they quit on Sparano it's over. You can see it on the field. Those that play for pride will be evident but most look like they are playing for a check.

I am so disgusted I can't stand it!!! The fins are a better team than this. We've come close and thrown it away. The other teams haven't won, we lost!

Well, I admit, I did. What I didn't think was how bad our defense really is, really did not see it coming. Was more worried about the offensive side of the ball more than the defense. Actually, I really thought they might even be a tad improved with the additions the Fins made and the 2nd yr. in Nolan's system. So I thought with a solid d, and a improved offense, the Fins could win 9 or 10. Needless to say, I am very disappointed...not that I am wrong, but this sucks! 0-4 is one thing, it's how the Fins got there. Its like one play that I have seen already 8 times today on top ten on ESPN this morning...the long pass to Vincent I believe, the closest defender to him is jogging behind, ASSuming that it was an overthrow....DAMN!!!! What happened to go full throttle till you hear a whistle???Especially when the play is to YOUR man!!! Even if he drops it or doesn't get to it, do you want to look THAT frigging burned??? Just vomit inducing..:tubes:

I believe I'm on record saying this team would max out at 9 wins. I thought it was a realist prediction. Turns out it was optimistic. This team won't win more than 7 at the very most, and that's assuming they get some favorable bounces along the way.

Three losing seasons now under Sparano and Co., which is one more losing season than this team had during my first 24 years as a fan. Oh, and three losing seasons in a row, something that hasn't happened here in over 40 years. Thanks, Tuna.

No, "we" didn't have expectations of 9 or 10 wins. I said after the Ross debacle last year that we were going to be 3-13...I stand by it to this day....(and its looking correct so far.)

Getting Luck or not getting Luck will not make or break this team in next years draft...So if that's what anyone's thinking they are lost to start with.

I'm a draftnik so i do know how good Luck is but their are also 7 to 8 other QB's in next years draft that could help this team and 4 or 5 of them could start from day one.

As far as how many win's well have, this looks like a 1,2 to maybe 3 win team. The KC game looks like the only one well win to me.

Odds are we only put up 13 points a game from her on out.Our Starting QB is really a backup and our #2 guy is only here because no one wanted him as a their 3rd QB.So now we have to start a guy that 31 other Gm's in the nfl didn't think he was even a 3rd string QB.
