Last year D, most notably the 4th quarter D, with guys like Porter and Merling stepping up was huge for us. We were able to constantly squeak out close wins. Our offense however, did not have the ability to score in bunches.

This year, our D is giving up way too many points in the 4th quarter with nobody really stepping up late in games. We are able to conistently move the ball on offense though which allows us to get in scoring range a lot and at the very least, change the field position game.

Lately however, it looks like this defense is becoming more and more reminiscint (sp?) of last years bend-dont-break D. With the addition of Cameron Wake, emergence of Randy Starks, and the big game-changing plays by Vontae Davis, this D has the potential to be even better than last years overachieving squad.

The Offense has not been that good since Ronnie went down, the D actually has stepped up pretty big the last two weeks.

Well this is just not true.

9 games with Ronnie = 316.2 Total yards per game
The last 2 games (NE and Jac) = 385 Total yards per game

The 3 games without Ronnie = 365 Total Yards per game which is greater than the average with Ronnie.

I agree with the OP. Last year's defense with this offense is 9-4 right now, beating Indy and New Orleans. Give us back Andre Goodman and Renaldo Hill even and we're probably much better off.

Our offense is getting the so-called "chunk" yards we couldnt get earlier in the season. Our passes are going further downfield than they were earlier in the season. It seems as if our playbook as a whole is opening up.

I agree with Eop...the only player i miss from last year is Goodman, he played well for us last year and it baffled me wen we let him go...i hate seeing ex dolphins suceeding on another team *cough* welker and goodman *cough*
