Not to get too political, but you realize the media is not an entity in and of itself, right? Its comprised of those same idiots who, believe it or not, can and often do have their own agenda and narrative. Its not like a member of the media checks his humanity at the door when performing his job.

We’re talking about the sports section here, friend…not International News and Politics.

The point is that sports media absolutely, positively cater to sensationalism…because that’s what sells.
 
'The media' is not a monolith, controlled from a single location. It is 10s of thousands of voices, voices from every spectrum of society. Some you'll love, and some not-so-much.

Those who attempt to vilify the media are conspiracy theorists. Period.

Omar is not 'the media'. Hyde is not 'the media'. They are only a very small part of it.

Intelligent individuals understand that there is a bias in the media and that certain individuals and networks are biased toward the left and right. That Is no different than the views of every individual who has their own opinions based on their beliefs. It is only the unintelligent individuals who actually believe everything they hear or read in the media.

Obviously that is your view of the sports media and I agree that there are some individuals in the sports media who love to sensationalize sports to get more clicks or higher ratings. I just don’t believe that all the members of the sports media communicate in this manner. The vast majority are simply trying to give the general sports fan their best opinion of what is happening with their sports teams or individual athletes in the sports world.
 
If the media is the problem, the organization, coaching staff and players aren't mentally strong enough.

Have to tune it out and realize this is the time in the offseason where the media is scrambling for material.

Don't believe the media as a whole is the problem, just a few assholes within the media like Omar Kelly, a worthless rabble rouser that makes up things to generate web clicks.

Funny how that dude is all over Tua when he has a bad practice in the rain under torrential conditions yet stays quiet like a little bitch when Tua shows up.

He's enemy #1 in the South Florida media IMO.

Sports media though is a fair target just I look at it as they are entertainment so follow who you like and forget the one's you don't like

As far as our #1 threat ... its definitely internal. We have the personnel to make the playoffs and maybe get a bit lucky while we're there. Now ... it's up to us. The men in the locker room and the coaching staff teaching and leading them. The players are in place ... now it's time to see how they respond.

I'm sorry, but it just doesn't feel right to see The News without Huey Lewis.
