Over the last three years, 2 Dolphins players have had 10+ catches in a game.

Last year, week 9, Greg Camarillo grabbed 10 balls for 111 yards against Denver.

And now, on Monday, Ted Ginn grabbed 11 balls for 108 yards against Indianapolis.

So that game by Ginn...despite all the hate those 2 dropped passes are generating, that game by Ginn is the greatest catching display by a Dolphin in 3 years. And don't forget that last year he had the greatest yardage-gaining display by a Dolphins receiver (7 for 175 Wk 8 v. Buffalo) since Chambers blew up for 200+ against the Bills years ago.

Kinda hard to hate on his hands in light of the production on Monday. I don't know why he dropped the TD passes, or whether he'll ALWAYS drop those when the heat is on. But I know that he caught more balls in one game than any player in 3 years on this team.

If he weren't targeted in the endzone on Monday, he would likely be getting pat on the back rather than insulted.

Another thread excusing Ginn from 2 td catches.

All this shows is that we haven't had a true #1 WR in a long time. What Monday night showed is that we still don't.

I think Ted Ginn will never grab 15 tds.

But I think he can have 1,500 yards if thrown to enough (and probably from a stronger arm).

The idea is for Patrick Turner to go up for that 4th quarter endzone toss, but he may not be the answer. Eventually we'll get it.

But that doesn't mean TG is not a #1.

Is a #1 a guy with 15 TDs but NOT a guy with 1,300 yards and 5 TDs?!

Cuz Ginn CAN be that guy.

I'll believe it when I see it. And even a #2 wr would have made one of those 2 td grabs.

If a Receiver gets 1000 yds and 5 TD's....he's not a number 1 type receiver..My guess is he doesn't make the top 10 list...in fact he would have been appx 23th last season.

If you look at the true number one receivers in the NFL guy's like this;

Fitzgerald...12 TD's

C. Johnson.. 12 TD's

T. Owens...10 TD's

A. Boldin...11 TD's

R. Moss...11 TD's

They not only acquire yards but points.

Some fans want yards....some want TD's.

Both are equally important. without the catch's he had who knows how game would turn out, maybe we would not of had a score of 23, but even though i understand the importance of both does not mean i was not extremely upset with Jr's two drop balls. Also does not mean i want him traded. that would be stupid cause everyone knows he will go to another team and look like that star we want him to be.

I've had time to at least calm down from the game on Monday. With that said I think that something like what happened to Ginn(not hauling in those 2 TDs) can be beneficial. Will it be? Who knows. I will be very curious to see how he comes out against San Diego, will he come to play and look to atone for Monday night or will he be content and continue to play scared. He obviously has talent, it's channeling it that I want to see (hope to see) happen.
I'm on the fence about Ginn, obviously he is a Dolphin and I am going to support him as best as I can. I will not look to make excuses for him nor will I bash him like some other people here. You have to play the hand your dealt, in our case we have an accurate, albeit, weak armed qb. I really like the receivers we have and don't think we are that bad in that area. My biggest concern are the ILBs, that's where I am scared to death.
Bottom line, is I trust the Bill, Tony and Jeff. I haven't lost faith and can't wait for Sunday to come around.

10 catches don't count for **** when you don't make the the ones TO WIN THE GAME. We want the dolphins to win, we don't give a crap about Ted Ginn Jr's individual stats. "Good look."

This makes me wonder, you think the Colts would just have allowed us to pick the ball up and move it down into their territory if we asked? Cuz I don't see how else we get Ginn into the endzone without his 11 catches for 109 yards.

OH! Okay, okay, I gotchya. You said "good look" because you meant that this little kinda agreement between the Dolphins and Colts, to just get up and move the ball without having to rely on completions like the 11 Ted had, would be a "good look," and not to talk trash to me for writing about a topic you have issue with, even tho you're wrong in your disagreement with it anyway.
