Just a little something fun to think about at the start of this weekends game.

The Dolphin record for consecutive completions is 15. (guess who holds the record?)

Pennington completed his last 11 of the Bills game. (yes, the record does encompass two separate games).

How many will he start this game with? Is Dan's record in jeopardy?

Will he break it?

i hope he breaks that record, Marino owns all the records here, it'd be nice to see another great Miami Dolphin QB in our record books...

Hope Ole Penny boy Breaks the record......We need this win bad.

How many yards did Dan have during that streak vs. Penne's yards???

some career records Marino doesn't own (min 250 attempts)

completion percentage - Pennington 66.4%
yards per attempt - Earl Morrall 8.22
QB rating - Pennington 93.7
TD % - Morrall 6.0%
Int % - Pennington 1.5%

Thats really not a fair comparison. To say "Min 250 att" which is just enough to put Penny in there is not a large enough sampling to compare to Marino's 8K+ attempts. I could be wrong, as I have not done the research, but I would imagine that if you compared by season (which is a more accurate comparison, esp to Penny) Marino holds those as well.

Edit: Except of course Pennys career completion %. We all know that. :hi5:

if it was anyone else to break a marino record i would want it to be penny

the 250 attempts was used to exclude the guys who barely played, or barely passed (Ronnie Brown for example has a career 140.3 rating on 3 attempts).

I just radomly picked a 250 minimum, but if you check the official miami dolphins site, in their records section, they actually use 250 attmepts as their min for career records. So, fair or not, Penny will be the official career leader when they update after the season
