11 of 12 Pats footballs underinflated

11 of 12 by 2lbs?!

Sheesh.

11-12 PSI, down to 9-10 range? Like riding a bike with a flat at that point. How did the refs not notice this until the Colts pointed it out.

Ball deflated near 17% would have a 'squish' feel to it.

Also makes it easier to tuck into the arms and decrease chances of a fumble.

So the talk about only affects passing game is bogus.

Watch the spin will be after the 'full investigation' that the officials accidently deflated the balls too much when they did their inspection 2 hours before the game.

The score was 45-7. In a game a little more competitive then the jealousy and butt hurt agenda that drives this may have legs

The balls are tested indoors by the officiating crew prior to a game correct? With that in mind what happens to PSI when the temperature drops 30 degrees?

Additionally, with the saturation of media coverage you really believe a $10.00 per hour ball boy is going to stand on a sideline and stick a needle in a ball without being observed by a camera? Do you guys understand how the balls are handled in game?

I get it. We are fans of a dysfunctional organization that shares the same division with a Hall of Fame coach and QB. It's easy to pile on a team that got caught cheating in 2007. But that shouldn't blur your ability to think it through and use some objectivity.

Because as usual the look the other way crew was working in Foxboro.

We were all paying attention to Brady Sunday correct? Did he have a memorable performance? Did anyone see a competitive edge?

I get it with Spygate but come on. The Colts were not going to beat the Pats in NE. If you need hope the evil empire will lose, it was just before the Giants ruined the Pats perfect season when news of Spygate broke.

That's not the point. Actually, Brady has a decent game. The same could be said for Barry Bonds. Yes he juiced to get an advantage but he still needed to hit the ball... lol. If something gives you an edge then it's cheating man. The same could be said for SpyGate. Yes they taped the practice but they still have to win right? They already have an advantage wit formations and such.

Not sure if that would give the Pats a significant advantage but the fact that it was tried should be subject to punishment. But the league will give the Pats a slap on the wrist and it will be swept under the table.
I am amazed that people still think that Spygate was just about some tapes.

At the end of the day we are the true guilty ones. We essentially are standing in line, nod and let Goodell do what he wants to do and stroke Kraft's ****. Let's not destroy our happy homes with some ridiculous conspiracy theory.

Spygate was NOT just about taping practices.

Not sure if the testing happens indoors. That would be dumb as the PSI changes with temperature flux.

For a ball to drop 2lbs in PSI due to temperature change, minimum of 10-20 degrees difference.

Would be like saying refs measure PSI indoors and then take out the footballs into Lambeau in 10 deg weather.

do you guys know how big a deal that is for gameplanning??? huge

Bellicheat is like Richard Nixon. Nixon would have won the '72 election regardless. But Nixon still cheated and lied about it after. That's Bellicheat. Totally unnecessary cheating. He's pathological, and his cheating will be in the first paragraph of his obituary.

Lol if the colts won 45-7 and the pats did this they should still be punished. Cheating is cheating. If not punished then what's to stop anyone else from doing this? If I cheat on an exam in college and still fail I could still get expelled or suspended if administration found out about it. regardless of outcome cheating is cheating.

Can you explain? I really don't know.

To my knowledge teams generally run 15-20 game plays during the walk through.

If the QB calls out adjustments you now have tape of his hand signals and see what the O-line, RB's, WR's do after the handsignals and transfer that to game day.

If a team knew every time Peyton yelled 52-Switch and tapped the side of his helmet ment the O-line shifts to the right, WR corner route....yeah huge.

So now you know 52-switch means O-line shift, multiply that by another 15-20 plays etc...

The temperature also drops in the roughly 3 hours it takes to complete a game.

Here's another fun fact. In 438 rushing attempts the Patriots had zero fumbles. Maybe, just maybe the Patriots are a much better team than the Colts.

Certainly the PSI didn't affect the Colts defense from being able to stop Blount.
