Why have I not heard anyone discuss the fact that Ronnie was 13-68 and looking like a beast? He had 2 carries in the second half. How do you protect a shaky QB? Pound the rock. I know they went no huddle to try to get Daunte going, but mix in some runs. I know people like to give Ronnie a tough time here, but you got to give him his shot. He was even with McGahee at half. We wern't that far behind to abandon the run game. And our defense was pretty solid, only giving up FG's.

Yeah I also wondered why they stopped giving it to Ronnie. When we had Ricky Williams we would continue to pound it to him and that opened up our passing game. I just think Mullarkey called a bad game....too many 3 and outs.

Exactly, Mularkey needs to learn how to run the ball, Brown should have 25+ touches a game including passes.

5.2 yards per freaking carry in the first half!! And only 2 carries in the 2nd half!! GOD I HATE THAT MAN!! :tantrum:

Lee Suggs even looks pretty good in his few snaps. I agree, they should have pounded it more. Set up the play action.

Definately was a big mistake. My thought was they got down 10-0 and they felt like that was alot to come back from....but I dont think 10-0 is insurmountable. So I immediately threw my own stupid thought out the window. They needed to give Ronnie the ball more in the second half...bottomline.

i dont know if I hate Mularkey... but Ronnie definately needs at least 25 carries.

I thought the exact same thing, why didn't we run it more. But after someone dissected the 2nd half. It made just a bit more sense. Instead of looking at just the stat sheet, this person actually looked at the play by play, to fully understand the situation.

Here is the conclusion written by FinFanInBuffalo (how ironic is that)

I would have liked to see more runs too, but when you don't execute and string plays together, you can't call running plays. Up until the last drive that resulted in the TD, they had run 9 passes and 4 runs. 13 plays! Two of the drives began with false start penalties.

Click the link for a more detailed analysis. We should have ran more, yes. But if you look at the situational analysis, it isn't THAT egregious of a crime that we didn't.

You and me both. He just eats at me. Watching him play call especially in the second half. This Sh** better change or we'll never win

Did you guys read my post above? I think that sheds some light on the playcalling.

You don't think Saban would have said "wtf are you doing mularkey, call some goddarn running plays?"

I read it. That's interesting. I have been one of us complaining about Miami not running it more in the second half, but when you actually analyze it like that, it makes more sense.

What really caught my attention is the signature at the bottom. I want to see some of that in Miami.

I should note that there were actually suggestions that we should trade him so that we could pick up Brady Quinn next year...

^Emo is gay(the music not the poster).

Anyway they should have ran Ronnie down their throats, eventually he would have broken the big one as he would wear them down.
