I wonder how many were in the playoffs total. You could probably field a pretty good team if the team was able to develop/retain talent.

New England:

Kyle Eckel
Heath Evans
Larry Izzo
Sammy Morris
Jason Radar
Junior Seau
Wes Welker
Billy Yates

New York Giants:

Reuben Droughns
Sam Madison
Grey Ruegamer
Manny Right
Kay-Jay Harris

Most of these guys are garbage. How many are actually playing and making an impact? Welker. Madison. Seau. Thats about it. Evans you could argue.

Not such an impressive list.

are you kidding me?

madison, welker, seau, izzo, morris, evans, are all KEY contributors that they all need. esp. izzo, welker, seau, morris was big for em when marnoey was out and evans is huge for them

No, are you kidding me? I pointed out the Madison/Welker/Seau group, though I do believe we got rid of Sam and Junior at the right time. Welker is another story, and we could debate until we're blue in the face the impact he would have had on last year's Dolphins team. I dont consider any guy that plays only ST a "KEY" contributor. I also said you could argue Evans. Morris hasnt played in 10 weeks.

Regardless, even going by your list, 6 of the 13 are contributing. Kind of puts that daunting 13 number into perspective... And furthermore, I would only agree with only 4 or 5 of them.

first of all wasn't my life, second 6 of 13 contributing right? how many players on OUR team contribute to half the extent those players do on a team THAT TALENTED. no one on OUR roster except for maybe 25% of em would be on the NE team past 3rd string if even that.

ST is a very KEY part of the NFL. look at the field position we gave up this year alone...dead last go figure we have a fruit kicking a banana to the 5 yard line evrey time w/out any hang time so he squibs and in return we get TD's returned on us if not drives. Izzo has been a PB ST and was a great on our team. Look at all the guys we let go this year that contributed heavily on ST and how much we missed their presence thsi year.

Atleast Ronnie and JT made the cut. So you falling in love with the Pats? Someones got a man crush.

There isn't a single player (other then Brady) that is as good as playing for the Patriots suggests they are. He may be the biggest jerk of all time, but Belichick is a great coach and his system works. It's a collective effort, the individual side of it is immeasureable until these players step onto the field in another uniform. In this case these guys were, for the most part, useless in aqua.

All those players gone, that were here just accentuate the personnel problem this team has had over the last decade. Hopefully we are on the road to redemption!
