14 starting QBs since Dan Marino

This Sunday Chad Henne will become the 14th starting QB since the legendary Dan Marino retired. Maybe since we've trotted through the infamous "unlucky" 13, number 14 is bound to excel. As Dolfans we can only hope so. Here's a look at the Dolphins QB smorgasboard:

YEAR(S) QUARTERBACK G/GS ATT CMP PCT YARDS TD INT
2000 Damon Huard 16/1 63 39 61.9 318 1 3
2000-04 Jay Fiedler 62/59 1,603 936 58.4 11,040 66 63
2001-05 Sage Rosenfels 13/2 109 54 49.5 776 6 6
2001-02 Ray Lucas 17/6 163 94 57.7 1,090 4 6
2003 Brian Griese 5/5 130 74 56.9 813 5 6
2004 A.J. Feeley 11/8 356 191 53.7 1,893 11 15
2005 Gus Frerotte 16/15 494 257 52.0 2,996 18 13
2006 Daunte Culpepper 4/4 134 81 60.4 929 2 3
2006 Joey Harrington 11/11 388 223 57.5 2,236 12 15
2006-07 Cleo Lemon 8/13 377 211 55.9 2,185 8 7
2007 Trent Green 5/5 141 85 60.3 987 5 7
2007 John Beck 5/4 107 60 56.1 559 1 3
2008-09 C Pennington 19/19 550 372 67.6 4,066 20 9
2009-? Chad Henne 4/0 31 17 54.8 159 0 1

What a slew of names in which most I'd like to forget ever put on on a Dolphins uniform. So who's you favorite and most hated QBs of the bunch?

Oddly enough I have to go with both of the Jet's castoffs. Ray Lucas single-handedly destroyed our playoff hopes and Chad Pennington brought us back to the promised land.

Pennington, Fiedler, Huard, Frerotte, and Rosenfels in that order. Honorable mention goes to Trent Green for what he did with other teams, his stay with this team was short though. The rest of them are ranging from bad to beyond horrible and I hate Ray Lucas the most.

Don't make me remember this decade. It ruined our franchise.

The 14th's a charm...or it is it the third ones a charm?

What is truly eye opening is this type of turnover has occurred at most positions, even off field positions like GM, scouting directors, head coach, coordinators, and on and on. This franchise has been the definition of instability. What an embarrassment really.

I am not picking a favorite because only one stands out - Pennington. The guy was the only winner of the bunch, the only guy with grit and heart. The key stat is nearly 68% completion percentage. Look at Henne's so far. This will be absolutely critical to decide whether Henne is the answer. If his % stays in this range and doesn't get to 60+%, forget it.

Isnt it amazing that wanny and speilman single handedly destroyed two franchises:blowup::blowup::blowup:
Look, they just started the destruction from 2000-2004. Saban, Cameron and Mueller continued it in 2005-2007.
