1972 Curse!

I don't post on the board that much but I just wanted to get a thought out there about what has happened to our team. I know it might sound stupid to some of you but I feel that we are cursed because we are the only team to have an undefeated championship season. I know that there are more logical reasons and solutions but I just think that in order for the curse to be lifted we either have to have an 0-16 season (not 1-15) or have some other team go undefeated and win a championship.

I'm a very superstitious person but does it make anybody out there cringe every year when fat Chris Berman says that the 72 Phins are popping the champagne bottles when the last undefeated team loses. I wasn't alive then, born in 74, but that was 39 years ago, what about Today! We are the joke of the NFL, who gives a s**t if we went undefeated in 72. If I hear that fat f**k Berman announce the popping of the bubbly this year I think I will throw my 50 inch T.V. across the room! I love the Phins! I grew up in Melbourne, Florida watching them from the age of 6, these guys are breaking my heart!

...Then how do you explain the 1973 Superbowl win? It's not a curse, it's bad coaching+bad drafts+bad philosophy = failure.

No curse, just bad ownership which leads to bad management which leads to bad coaching which leads to where we are now and have been since Huizenga/Ross took over. The team hasn't even made it to the AFCCG since Joe Robbie was our owner. The only true success we have ever had, in terms of the playoffs and championships, was under Joe Robbie. If you want to believe in curses and superstitions, then you can say it started when Huizenga took Robbie's name off the stadium a few years after Robbie passed away. A big slap in the face to the only owner who was actually successful with the Miami Dolphins.
 
there actually IS a curse.... a REAL BONAFIDE CURSE ON THE TEAM by a real VOODOO PRIEST!!

i think it was 1988 when duper got indicted on cocaine trafficing and posession charges. he got the trafficking charge dropped and pleaded guilty to something like simple posession and then got a wrist slap from the nfl and don shula.

some of the people he was associated with in the coke thing thought it was more than a coincidence that he got off lite and some of the others were busted and sentenced. soooooooooooooo........................

security is watching this guy at one of the games in the orange bowl acting weird and out of place. they detain him and he tells them he is a voodoo priest and was sent in retaliation from dupers "associates" with the coke bust. he told them he had put a CURSE on the dolphins, that they would have many years of bad luck and misery. mark duper would have no wealth or success after his nfl days. on and on and on...............

so take from that what you will. i think of this and look back at all the absolutely unexplainable, rediculous moves, bad luck and bad decisions this team has made since that time.

so all the shula sold his soul for a perfect season stuff is all bunk. this curse, weather you believe in this stuff or not, DID HAPPEN. did it work? is that curse behind all this double decade misery? not saying i believe, or dont.

you decide.
 
My take on the curse.

The Jets were the 1st team in our division to win a Super Bowl.

Then the Dolphins won 2 in a row.

Then The Patriots won 3 of 4.

Even the (now in a different division) Colts won one.

For the curse to be lifted the Bills need to win the Super Bowl to start the cycle over.
